So insightful. We are not ones for museums, but it was very very interesting. The lady working was very friendly, it was cheap and it took us about 30min and you get access to the old church

Situated in Church street the museum gives you a very good idea of it was like during the night of the earthquake that hit Tulbagh. The guide at the entrance is full of information. really worth the visit and makes you want to visit the other museums in the same street

If anyone wants to learn about the devastating earthquake that befell Tulbagh in 1969, this is the place to go. A well informed member of the museum gave a detailed explanation of what happened and the effect it had on the local community. The display and photographs are well set out and the museum also gives the history of the town itself. Don't miss out on this one!

Very nice museum that provides a good overview of the devastating earthquake that happened in Tulbagh in 1969. Very interesting with lots of information. It gives you an opportunity to learn about the suffering of the people that lived in the town during the earthquake. It also shows that people can stick together in hard times. You can't visit Tulbagh and not visit this museum. Really worth it.

The Earthquake Museum is a must see after you have walked down Kerk Street looking at all the beautifully restored houses in that Street. The entrance fee is R10 for Pensioners who the staff call 'silver bells'! The museum is very informative and the information is very well laid out. Once you have read it all there is a video that runs constantly that has local people telling their personal stories and experiences of the earthquake which were so interesting to hear.
