We turned up at Saturday teatime and decided to have a meal using a voucher from a book that the pub subscribed to. We asked the landlady if it was ok to use the voucher and just got a blank look. The landlord who was passing asked if we had booked. We hadn't. He told us we could not use the voucher even though the place was half empty.
Later I checked and there was no mention of having to book in the terms and conditions.
Other restaurants do have restrictions but this place does not. The attitude of the landlord was disgraceful. I think he could do with going on a customer relations course.
If there was a reason why we could not use the voucher then a smile and an apology would have been welcome.More
