You're never going to get great food in an airport but this was ok. Service was fast at least. Overpriced and nothing special but would you expect much more? Boots meal deal??

The overall space and feel is fine but the food was awful. Its hard to make a bad club sandwich but these guys excelled at making a bad club. The chicken filling was rubbery artificial and felt like it came from (I'm fairly sure it did) a giant tube of "sandwich filler". the bread wasn't toasted and there was far too little care given in trying to create a meal for £9.95. The chips were good and fresh but not good enough to save the plate.

We arrived at Manchester airport with hours to spare for our flight to Frankfurt and after going through check in we had hours to kill and what better way to do this than having a few beers in The Lion & Antelope Pub in departures.
This is a great airport pub which is a rare thing in an airport as there normally boring none descript places but this pub looks cool ,a nice looking pub with great decor and furnishings,I love the way they have incorporated old beer barrels into the decorative scheme and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,it's one of my favourite airport pubs.
My twin brother Stephen and I got a pint of guinness each and these were served in tip top condition being ice cold and we just chilled out and looked forward to visiting some of the great apfelwein ( similar to cider ) taverns that the exciting city of Frankfurt has to offer.
Our guinness was outstandingly good and we ended up staying here for two each before catching our flight to Frankfurt and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Lion & Antelope Pub is easy to find in terminal 3.
Well worth checking out.

Grim service. Grim staff. Grim setting. Grim beer (how can you mess up a pint of Sam Miguel that badly?). Grim food - REALLY grim food.

Quite possibly one of the most unpleasant places I’ve ever attempted to eat (it was inedible). The “staff”, as mentioned elsewhere, stood around chatting the hole customers line up. Truly, truly shocking - I suppose that’s the kind of apathy that comes with a monopoly.

Typical of an attraction when they have a monopoly for goods, overpriced and tasteless.

Lukewarm bacon on a dry flour topped muffin £6:00 the joys with overpriced beer
