I booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews on their customer service, and the staff did not disappoint. They were extremely helpful and polite, and helped us arrange transportation for a dinner that was 40 minutes away. The breakfast was also delicious. It's a fun hotel with a lot of interesting art.

Stayed 3 nights in late March. Ricardo and all the staff were wonderful hosts.
We enjoyed great service, food and our stay was very enjoyable. The short walk to the beach is a big plus.
My wife and I would love to return one day.

I've been there with my teen daughter and it was a quite pleasant staying!
The staff is extremely kind and welcoming, the atmosphere of the place is cosy and cool.
It is near of the Playa Vik, and the Jose Ignacio village, where we can find exquisite restaurants and beautiful people.
Is you rent a car is easy to go to Punta and the other places in a very few time!
The managers of the hotel are real gentlemen.

We were on a driving holiday and this hotel was booked by our travel agent. We had stayed at some boutique hotels and some luxury hotels before we reached La Viuda. At first sight, the hotel was not what we expected. It appeared to fall short of the standard of hotels, that we had stayed at in Uruguay and Argentina. It was at the 200 yards up an unmade road. It reminded us of a 3 star 1970s resort hotel in Greece. The room had a sink and a Jacuzzi in it. The toilet//shower were in a separate area off the bedroom.

It was quirky.

However Ricardo on reception gave us a very warm welcome. He was receptive to 1 or 2 queries that my wife had.

Ricardo explained that breakfast was served whenever you are ready-we could always have breakfast at 2 PM if that's when we got up. Although we got up at the usual time of 11 PM, the breakfast was there and delightfully served by the staff on the table around the pool.

We were warming to the place after one night. Ricardo gave us excellent advice on the restaurants to go to. As he promised, the restaurants he recommended were great.

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights, in February and found the friendliness of Ricardo and his staff, the extremely attentive service (nothing seemed to be too much trouble!) and the warmth of the welcome we received, to be exemplary.

We had a very spacious room, with a jacuzzi, a balcony with a beautiful sea view, and 2 very comfortable beds, in which we enjoyed the most peaceful nights sleep!

This really is a tranquil place to relax and the ease with which any small request is immediately met only adds to the feeling of absolute calmness and utter lack of pretentiousness!

The free breakfast is wonderful and can be taken at almost any time.

Above all, we were really made to feel at home and amongst friends, which made our stay very memorable, thanks to the efforts of Ricardo and the team!
