The complex reception gives a good initial appearance but the reception staff soon seem lacking. The beach is on the doorstep but more on the wild side as you are advised to check the whereabouts of the water buffalo and the many Jellyfish. The pool sufficed but no poolside bar open and service from the restaurant is slow. The restaurant food was OK but the staff here were very obliging and fun.
We tried the spa, but got the distinct impression from each of our treatments that although very polite the two girls there had no idea what they were doing. Don't waste your money. It is a good half hour car journey from Kota Kinabalu although there is a shuttle busfor a small charge.

This is an average beach resort. The rooms are clean, the food is fine and the layout is good. But it's rather isolated. We don't mind walking to places, but other than along the beach (where you have to get around a bunch of cows who like to hang out there), all there is is a busy road to walk along. We were told that there was another hotel 10 minutes up the road, but we never did find it, even after walking for 20 minutes. There is a shuttle bus that will take you on (pricey) tours, or into town, but you have to get a taxi back. After a few days we decidied to move into KK which meant we had much more freedom to just wander around. If you have a car, or just want a beach holiday and don't mind cows, then this is fine.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

I noticed trip adviser had given this resort a four star. Well it may have been good once upon a time.First impressions led too us being shocked at the qaulity of the buildings and its need for a dam good overhall. Non exsisting sports. Good friendly staff but lack of information. Only one run down resturant with a small and unveried menu. Kept running out of the simplest items as local beer(tiger) coke, bread buns, burgers, fruits, and cocktail sprits. This was all very well but often there was only a few couples eating. The breakfast not that great. Items not kept cool and left out from 7.00pm until end of breakfast service. The pool on first glance appeared great but in need of tiny repairs from cracks and holes. tired furniture. rusting wire in the childrens pool and cracked pool slide. Repairs to bunglow rooms being carried out while we were there. Non excisting pool bar service( just dirty cracked construction in front of you. Dirty unkept toilet/ changeing falcility. The best bit is the gardens, the peace and the beach which is fairly clean and accessable. Mangement appear to be helpful when spoken too. I think with a big turn around it could be a nice hotel.Shuttle bus and taxi needed to get anywhere. Many other holiday couples had required change of room due to simple problems, blocked drainage, and poor maintanace.

Room Tip: go for an upgrade ( duplex) or superior room. Although some maintance needed in most rooms.

Came here for a retreat camp. This resort has been around for more than 10 years. Noticed that the management has continued to keep the place clean and homely. Loves the small garden, lots of shady trees. The resort is about 30 km from Kota Kinabalu city and there are no supermarkets/shopping malls nearby. Not much activities too. Good place to have a quiet break and to be away from the crowd.

The hotel is rather remote and you need a taxi or hire a car to get anywhere. The beach was not very clean and bathing difficult due to the jellyfish. Rooms where very poorly finished with exposed electrical wiring and infrequent water pressure. We were particularly disappointed with the standard of cleanliness ( hairs in the shower) and dirty towels upon arrival. The hotel reception staff were rather laid back when requested to rectify this. The pool was however good and price low.
