Plan Your Trip to Port Charlotte: Best of Port Charlotte Tourism

About Port Charlotte
One visit to Port Charlotte and you’ll be swept up in its laid-back style. You can spend your time sailing, kayaking, or paddleboarding through its waterways (there’s cover 150 miles of ‘em) or exploring its barrier islands. Grab a bite from one of the food trucks around town—from tacos to lobster rolls, there’s plenty of options—and have a picnic at Port Charlotte Beach Park (tip: stay for the next-level sunsets). But beach days aren’t the only reasons to visit. The city’s home to over 20 golf courses (and is one of the best places in the U.S. to play), hiking trails, and even baseball—in the spring you can catch the Tampa Bay Rays training at Charlotte Sports Park. The town’s buzzing with creativity, too. Check out the Charlotte Players Theatre, or hop across the bridge to Punta Gorda and browse the art galleries. There’s even more recs, below.
