ST. STEPHEN CHURCH also known as the Iron Church, is made of prefabricated cast iron pieces. This beutiful, little church is one of only three examples that exist all around the world. When the small wooden church serving the Bulgarian community of Istanbul was damaged in a fire, the community decided to build the new church from iron, instead of stone blocks that would not be suitable for the soft ground on this coast. 📸 @oneistanbul > Credit: suretistanbul
