No noticeable impact outside Athens from recent political events. All flights and ferries ran normally and on-time (except for 1 day when ferries didn't leave Pireaus, but they did continue to run outside Athens).
Main change from previous trips was an even greater Greek enthusiasm for receiving payment by (undeclared) cash and not taking credit cards - so with hotels charging circa EUR 90-100, and meals EUR 50-70, you will need to take A LOT OF CASH with you. Best to assume that you will need to pay for everything by cash - and don't expect a receipt of course ! At least most islands now have decent working cash point machines.
Please ask for receipts on shops, restaurants or other services like hotels and taxis. Printing of a receipt is mandatory.
