Visit this little piece of provincial France in Canterbury and you will be impressed, wowed, surprised and feel like you have found a slice of paradise only 1.5 hours from Christchurch (77kms). Beautiful Harbour, sheltered waters, hills, beaches and a small friendly village centre you just want to wander through...walking briskly is not something that you will want to do. Fish 'n chips that are to die for and the locals just make you feel special. Meander down the wharf, speak to international visitors off the numerous cruise ships that love this place. Sit under a Nikau Palm and sip great coffee or just relax on a small, safe beach and stretch your legs.
Don't hurry, there is no need and no-one else does so you would stand out.
Quaint, relaxing, trendy, fashionable but oh so real and honest.
This really is a very special place and is a MUST on your "to do's" if you are in Canterbury.
