All phone numbers have 8 digits.

Land lines start now with a 2

Cell phones start now with an 8.

There are no regional, city  or area codes.

From the United States you have to dial 011 to get an international line, then dial 506 for costa rica and the 8 digits

For example: 011 506 XX XX XX XX

Land lines from el Castillo start with 2 479-XX XX

If you buy a pre paid chip for your phone it needs to be from Kobi or it will not work here.
