From November 10th 2007 the Immigration Authorities in Libya have reintroduced the requirement of an Arabic Translation of the passport details. The translation stamp must be affixed by the country issuing the passport and a further stamp or embossed seal must evidence the office affixing the translation stamp. Usually the words "affixed by" are included. Airlines will generally check the passport for this requirement but in the event that any passenger arrives in Libya without the translation and verifying stamp they will be refused entry.
