The accepted currency in New Caledonia is the Pacific Francs (CFP). Local banks such as BCi and BNP Paribas offer both money exchange services (provided you can show your passport) either in branch or using a money exchange ATM. Commissions are charged. Alternatively, CFPs can be withdrawn ATMs where a currency conversion fee will be charged.  Watch out for bank opening times, if you bring cash to exchange in country.
