Train ride into Greenwich from Grand Central Station in NYC is 45 minutes for the express and 60 minutes for the local, which makes more stops. It costs $8 each way. From the Greenwich stop to the Stanton House hotel, which is a recommended B&B on Maple street, is 5 minutes and about 6 dollars by cab. Walking from Maple Street to the Greenwich Ave shopping is 10 to 15 minutes. Rental cars (Enterprise only in Greenwich) is not open Sundays. Private car service to NYC from Greenwich is about $150, and a cab to the same place is about $80 to the north of Manahttan, about $100 to the southern portion.
