Holiday Rental House
A very comfortable cottage for four located in a converted granary, retaining much of its character including many exposed beams. Available for weekends, holidays and short-term lets. The cottage is situated in a quiet location in the centre of an unspoilt, pretty north Hertfordshire village, steeped in history back to Roman times. The village is where the 'Ashwell Hoard' of Roman treasure was found in 2002 (now in the British Museum), has a church with graffiti going back to the Black Death, a museum with displaying artefacts of local life through the ages. The village has a host of beautiful, historic buildings. There are many lovely walks accessible from the cottage. All amenities (3 great dining pubs, village shop, bakers, butchers, takeaway, chemist) are in easy walking distance...A very comfortable cottage for four located in a converted granary, retaining much of its character including many exposed beams. Visitors are made very welcome. Nearby attractions include easy access to Cambridge (by car or train) and London, with a large number of National Trust/English Heritage properties within 25 miles of Ashwell. More

The property is newly refurbished to a very high standard, both in terms of comfort and looks. The village, Ashwell, must be one of the best kept secrets: a very friendly village with a real sense of community, and lovely buildings going back hundreds of...More
