We loved our stay in this lovely holiday home. The sea view from the terrace is spectacular. The home is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, do laundry, enjoy the sea, and relax. Parking is very easy. The walk into town in under 5 minutes. A great base for exploring the area! The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind. We would love to return soon.

Home away from home

We spent five days here at the end of May which was the perfect time to visit. The apartment was clean and well maintained and as we were the only occupants in the block we had the large shared terrace and the sun terraces down near the sea to ourselves. Alessandro although unable to be present himself maintained good contact with us via email and phone, his parents and their interpreter were friendly and helpful throughout . The town itself is very pretty and has some lovely bars and restaurants also a supermarket within 10 minutes which is a bonus for self catering guests. Nearby Castro a little fishing village is also worth a visit and the fresh fish we bought there was delicious.
When we were able to drag ourselves away from our apartment we visited a number of local towns and cities. Lecce and Ostuni are both beautiful and entirely different from each other. Also Otranto with its stunning and unusual cathedral. The unesco heritage site of Alberobello is an hour and a half away and well worth a visit, pop into the gelato shop on the outskirts of the main tourist area, lives up to its BBC reputation as the best in Puglia.
