Chantal was very welcoming and answered to questions quickly, the cottage was lovely ,decorated very nice with a modern feel to it with old features such as the wood stained timber beams on show wood burning stove with a mixture of modern and old timber furniture hardwood doors and quality fixtures and fittings, it felt like a nice place to be comfortable and more of a home from home kind of feel to it and had everything you could possibly need from cutlery dishwasher washing machine pots and pans and a massive American style fridge freezer to simple things that you sometimes don’t get like a vac mop and bucket, fan/heater in the bedroom, they also Electric gates in the yard so you have the added extra of knowing your cars and belongings are safe over night with secure parking . we visited a couple of local cafe in the mornings that had nice food and reasonable prices which also welcomed dogs and visited the follies which wasn’t too far away, we was struggling to find a house/apartment/cottage that would allow dogs but it wasn’t a issue at all with Chantal and the dog loved it( small secure rear garden that we could let the dog out if she wanted to go out at any point) All in all a very nice place to stay that a lot of thoughts gone into the decor and everything else ,nice people , nice quiet area and couldn’t ask for any more to be honest, the price is very good considering you can pay £30-£50 a night more in a bog standard basic hotel room but there you get so much more for a amazing price HIGHLY Recommend staying at the cottage The only issue we had was connecting to wifi but when mentioned(we didn’t mention it until the night before we was due to leave) chantal had just had the wifi changed over and I presume this causes Wi-Fi name and passwords to change but it wasn’t a issue and managed with our phone data i certain rooms but I’m sure this will be sorted for any future bookings The only one thing I would change would be the tv in the living room (just has freeview channels but it does have a hdmi port so if you like your films taking a Amazon fire stick with you would be a good shout) and maybe a small tv in the bedroom but both these things are personal preference and didn’t affect the quality of the stay in any way Thanks for letting us stay

Lovely cottage, perfect for our stay. All amenities were available for us. The host family were very friendly. 3 of us stayed for 2 nights when we were attending a wedding in the area. On arrival, we were greeted by a young man (the son of the owners) who provided us with welcome information about the cottage. (Very knowledgable and precise). There is also a welcome folder in the cottage providing information (inc WIFI password). The living room area is very spacious with a futon couch, 2 large beanbags and a large dining table. There is a large tv and lovely log burner in here too. (Bring your own logs and fire lighters) The kitchen has everything you need with job, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and all crockery, cutlery etc required. There is a large fridge freezer and a dishwasher too. The upstairs bathroom is fabulous with a large bath and separate shower unit. Downstairs there is a small toilet room with toilet and sink. In here, there is also a washing machine. The bedroom has a large (maybe king size) bed. There is a lot of drawer storage in here too. The small box room has a single folding bed in it. Access to the property is through a secured gate. The owners activate the opening of the gate when you call them on arrival. The keys to the property have a fob on them for gate opening and closing allowing us to do this ourselves on entry/exit. We didn’t get an opportunity to see much of the local area due to our short stay but it looked lovely and within the welcome folder, there are details of things to do in the area. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this cottage to anyone looking to visit this area.

My husband and I spent three nights here in August to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary, and we had a lovely time. This place is tastefully decorated, spacious and relaxing. A lot of thought has been put into the comfort of guest, and it has absolutely everything you could want during your stay. There was even fresh milk and a bottle of chilled water in the fridge on our arrival. I was a little apprehensive about the cottage being attached to the owners property, but there was minimal noise from there, and it felt like it was detached and on it's own. There is even a little gravel yard at the rear with a table and two chairs. The place is dog friendly, which is great as we had our 8 month old Labrador puppy with us. There is so much to do in the area if you want to explore or, like us, you can just have a lovely time relaxing, enjoying the peace and quiet. We will definitely return, and I'm already looking at dates when we can stay again. Highly recommended.

So on booking we were 50/50 on what to expect as the price was what we considered to be great value. We were stunned on how clean the home was and finished to an immaculate condition down to every single last touch considered! My son enjoyed NO computer games, evenings were full of making log fires, board games and movies. Very humble. Sad to be going home but I look forward to perhaps escaping reality in the not so near future! Fantastic host. Refreshing weekend. X

lovely hideaway, Chantal was friendly, and was on hand should we have needed her. Cottage has the wow factor, love the sepia horse pictures. Had a stroll round the lanes in the evening, nice and peaceful, away from the hubbub of the city. Dogs were happy too, they are still tired now.

We stayed at the cottage over NYE and immediately fell in love with it as soon as we stepped through the door! The cottage was beautiful... Chantal couldn't have made us feel at home anymore than she did, we loved the little details which she had clearly put alot of thought into. We are already thinking about coming back before the summer - would definitely recommend.

Great cottage: well-designed with a sensitive cross over from original features to modern amenities. Although adjoining owner’s property, it felt nicely individual. It was really really peaceful. The bed is enormous and super comfortable. The log burner is enormous and great fun. The bathroom is opulent with a fabulous bath, and walk in shower. The cottage is beautifully situated for Ironbridge, and Wales, Ellesmere, and the Long Mynd. Owners are perfect- there if you want, and not if you prefer, with a lovely sense of humour, and gentle human touch 😀

We stayed here for 4 nights over new year and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The property is in a great location for country walks, dog walking and just generally being in the great outdoors. You can tell the property is new as it was in pristine condition. The bed was huge and comfy with very cosy bedding, we were even supplied with bath robes and slippers. There was a small separate room upstairs which we used to store our luggage bags/cases. Kitchen was fully equipped with a double American style fridge freezer. It felt like the property had underfloor heating which was a bonus it was lovely and warm but there was still a log burner in the lounge/dining area. Downstairs toilet was an added bonus too. The owner Chantal was most helpful, we got in touch a couple of times to ask questions etc and she always got back to us straight away (the owner lives next door anyway) she even gave us a bottle of prosecco for New Year’s Eve which was very thoughtful. One of the best things for us was the enormous bath upstair, even my 6’2” husband could fit comfortably in it. The property was very welcoming, homely and one of the best places we have stayed at (we go to cottages a lot because we have a dog we like to take with us). We will definitely be returning there without a doubt.
