About the neighbourhood
The Peninsula cottages are ideally suited to those travelling without a car as everything you need for a full and enjoyable self-catering holiday is available within a short (5 to 10 minute) walk from your arrival. Apleasant walk around the boats in the marina brings you to Wroxham Bridge where you can look back at your cottage. This brings you into the main shopping centre with plenty of gift and souvenir shops, department store and the famous Roy's supermarket, claimed to be the largest village supermarket in the world. There are many riverside bars, cafes and restaurants and every possible take-away.
Getting around
You can book to go on one of Broads Tours sight-seeing boat trips that leave from near the cottage or hire your own day or picnic boat and keep it on your private mooring. Take a nostalgic steam train trip on the narrow gauge Bure Valley Railway which runs an 8-mile excursion to Aylsham.
