Beaufront was built in 1777 from local stone and sits at 700 feet above the River Tyne with magnificent south facing views , surrounded by beautiful woodland and farmland. Your accommodation has been fully refurbished within the last few months and is very peaceful ,and close to a surprising variety of landscapes , from the dark wilderness of Kielder to the Tolkienian valleys of the Shire of Hexham. We are surrounded by history and one of the best bits of Hadrian's Wall is just up the lane. Three top rated golf courses at Matfen , Close House and Slaley are nearby , as is Hexham race course and excellent fishing on the River Tyne. This part of Tynedale is blessed with a wide selection of good places to eat and drink . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beufront Hill Head. The house was beautiful and we had everything we needed for our stay with our young baby as well. Marion was a wonderful host and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We stayed here for a short break in June and found the acccomodation provided to be of the highest standard. The setting is stunning with dramatic views from the sitting room and bedrooms across the Tyne Valley. All facilities are well equipped and very comfortable. The host, Marion, most helpful in providing information about local visits. Location just above the small towns of Corbridge and Hexham is ideally located for visiting the Roman Wall, a world Heritage site and exploring the Northumberland countryside. For eating out a treat one evening was Walwick Hall , superb restaurant. Others we tried were Bouchon in Hexham and the Duke of Wellington at Newton village.. All only a short drive away.

The property has been refurbished to a very high standard. The owners were very helpful and informative regarding places to visit in Northumbria. At first we were worried the place was a little remote but it is only 5 minutes from A69 and connections to Northumbria. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the stunning countryside views.
