The house is very spacious ideal for a family or a couple of friends. A cosy fire in the evening and a stunning view over the Lough. A good aria for walking. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The pub 'Kealy's Bar', not to mix up with 'Kealy's Seafood Bar', in Greencastle is very nice and serves wonderful sandwiches.

This house was absolutely fantastic. Everything was great in the house, all was in perfect condition and very clean. My only problem would be the bathroom. It is in need of being updated. The views were amazing, especially of the sea and golf course situated across from the house, and the golf course serves great home made food. The house...

About the neighbourhood
Greencastle ( with an 18-hole golf course), has an excellent bathing beach. On a rock overlooking the entrance to Lough Foyle are the ruins of the castle after which the place is named. Built in 1305 by the 'Red Earl' of Ulster, Richard de Burgh, it was captured eleven years later by the forces of Edward Bruce. Noted for its fishing industry Greencastle is building a reputation as a sea-food mecca.

The area provides easy reach to about 7 golf courses with 1 hour travel, and to numerous historical sights. Of particular interest is Grainin of Aileach (3000 year old ring fort!), Historic City of Derry, Bishops Palace and Mussenden Temple (which you can see from the rocks near the Boathouse), Giant's Causeway (take the ferry from Greencastle to Magilligan), Portrush and the Antri...

Airport: City of Derry http://www.cityofderryairport.com/: 45.0 km
Railway: Derry: 38.0 km
Ferry: Larne http://www.portoflarne.co.uk/: 110.0 km
From Derry, follow the directions north to Moville, along the west bank of the river Foyle. From Moville, follow the road to Greencastle, and through the village toward Greencastle golf club. Go past the entrance of the golf club for approximately 1.4km, passing 2 mobile home sites on left (one wooden, one regular), and one (regular) hidden on the right. The entrance to the Boathouse is on the right hand side of the road, with metal crafted gates. If you arrive at night, then it is marked by an orange streetlight on the right hand side. There are four other well-spaced houses in the area, but ours is distinctive and easily identified as the converted RNLI boathouse, just 15 metres from the water's edge - you can't miss it!
