Un week-end de repos dans un environnement calme et paisible. On se réveille avec les oiseaux! La chambre est confortable, la salle de bain moderne et ample. Le petit déjeuner absolument délicieux, mais surtout, surtout, on est reçu avec gentillesse, bienveillance, et un ample sourire. À recommender!!!

This is an outstanding, very well equipped little gite in the middle of the countryside but close to the Loire sights. Although we were only two, it would particularly suit a family of 4 as it has a large secluded garden with table tennis, toys and hens; a double and two twin beds complete with their own showers/ loos. The solar heated pool shared with the owners is a magnificent plus. There are plenty of quiet country walks and easy flat cycling. Cycles are available from the gite for an excessively large deposit. If you are keen it would be better to bring your own. One did have a child seat, however. There is a reasonable restaurant 20 mins walk away at la Breche and another in the nearby village of Varennes but most are over the other side of the river, about 7km in either direction. Saumur (7km) itself is a quiet little town but the Saturday market is lovely , as is the flea market at Montsoreau on a Sunday. Joyce is a very pleasant host, but unobtrusive.This is definitely not the gite if you are looking for nightlife, but if you are a family or looking to recharge your batteries, I would thoroughly recommend.

Optimale Ort um die Loire zu entdecken. Ruhig gelegen, schönes Haus top ausgestattet. Die Nutzung des Pools ist gut geregelt. Leider hatten wir vom Wetter untypisches April Wetter in August.

Encore un agréable séjour dans le gîte Theophane. En famille où entre amis. Des propriétaires accueillants, sympathiques et disponibles! Un cadre superbe, un gîte indépendant, très soigné avec une décoration au goût du jour. Et la piscine... Un sans faute pour un réel moment de détente!
