About the neighbourhood
Zocca is characterized by a mountain landscape of great importance, along with an important network of pathways for hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers through ancient villages, castles and churches. Many are the recreational activities offered: a vast and diverse program of events enlivens the summer season. Zocca is known as one of the Cities of the Chestnut: during the month of October, the renowned Festival of the Chestnut is hold here. A large part of the territory is occupied by the Regional Park of Sassi di Roccamalatina, natural habitat of great importance, visited for both learning purposes, as well as for recreational activities, and ideal destination for hikers and mountain bikers.
