(Can sleep 10 in total) The house is in the village of Sandgate which has a good selection of pubs, restaurants and convenience shops. The nearest supermarket is just up the road in Cheriton, or if you don't have a car Hythe and Folkestone are each about 10 minutes away by bus. Both Hythe and Folkestone have a full range of shops. We have in the past hosted channel swimming teams and the house is very suitable as a base for these challenges.More

I would like to state this is a review of a relative of the person who booked. Brilliant position at Sandgate great views. Sadly I found the cleanliness lacking in most rooms certainly the two bathrooms I used and our bedroom on the top floor.

About the neighbourhood
Sandgate is a friendly peaceful village which has a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Folkestone is a pleasant twenty minute walk away along the seafront and has further pubs, cafes and restaurants including the award winning Rocksalt on the harbour front. There is also an Indian restaurant, a Thai Restaurant and various takeaway restaurants. Getting around
If you don't have a car the best way to get around is by bus. The house is between Hythe and Folkestone and the buses run from the High Street directly to both of these places.
