The Little Hideaway is a romantic and rather magical studio, which makes the perfect getaway. This charming and newly finished two storey property is on a private estate once owned by King Henry 8th. This old estate sits on nine acres and lies directly opposite the magnificent Windsor Great Park, and on the approach to the Little Hideaway there are amazing views across to Windsor Castle. The Little Hideaway is an idyllic retreat with a luxurious feel, which beautifully combines understated chic with rustic charm in a traditional countryside setting. The Little Hideaway is situated off a quiet country road and up a long driveway. It is nestled between an old oak tree and the Little Dower House, the lovely house and garden where the owners Susie and Hamish live. For larger groups the Victorian Lodge can also be made available for rent. It is situated on the property at the entrance to the driveway, and is a quintessentially English Country Cottage that sleeps up to 7. The Little Hideaway is a secluded retreat in a tranquil corner of the countryside, where you can take time to rest and relax. It has everything you should need. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a cooker, microwave, and dishwasher, a dining area that seats four, and a cold room / larder with a large fridge freezer. The Hallway has a cupboard for your coats, a boot box for your Wellies, and separate cupboards housing a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The Shower Room has a strong shower with two heads, one large fixed rose and a separate hand held. There is also a basin, a loo and nice heated towel rail. Heading upstairs takes you to the Sitting Room and Bedroom. Here there is a sitting area with a very comfortable sofa, an armchair and coffee table, cupboards for clothes and storage, and a 42' internet enabled television with multi channel Sky. A candlelit fireplace which is decorative sits in the middle of the room, with a small double sofa bed opposite. An extra fold out bed can be provided by prior arrangement. At the end of the room is a Super King size bed (which separates into twin beds), a chest of drawers, a pretty window seat and a little door that leads onto a balcony which has a table and chairs, where you can sit in the morning sunshine. On account of the stairs up to the bedroom and sitting room, it's probably best for children 12 years old and above. However, children of younger years can perhaps stay here, on prior appointment, having contacted the owners

I wish I could give the Little Hideaway 10 stars instead of 5. Staying here was like stepping into a fairytale or a magazine photo shoot. The cottage and property are impeccably decorated and maintained. You can roam the gardens as though they’re your own on this beautiful getaway. Hamish and Susie are the most gracious and thoughtful hosts we’ve ever encountered from offering us a ride to the local pub, to loaning us wellies when we didn’t think to pack any. The cottage and kitchen are even more beautiful than the pictures. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything their guests might need so all you have to do is arrive and relax. 2 nights here left us feeling more serene than any spa day. My husband and I cannot wait to go back. Highly highly recommend!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Little Hideaway. It’s beautifully decorated and very well equipped. It’s peaceful and tranquil, and the gardens are lovely. Hamish and Susie are brilliant hosts, they’ve really gone out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Lots of thoughtful touches like a well stocked hamper, and flowers from the gardens. The Little Hideaway is conveniently located very close to the Great Park, great if you like walking, and there are lots of nice places to eat out close by too. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Windsor and thoroughly recommend!

The Hideaway is very romantic accommodation that has all the home comforts, plus a warm welcome from Hamish and Susie. It is tucked away in very pretty grounds. We especially enjoyed the walled garden. It was more than we were looking to pay initially, but we didn't regret stretching the budget and will definitely return.

A long overdue review but we stayed at Hamish and Susie’s little hideaway at the end of last year as part of a long weekend to go to the races at Ascot and to explore the local grounds and country pubs. The pictures looked amazing and the property did not disappoint, perfect for a couple’s getaway. The property was faultless, beautiful décor, perfectly clean and with all the amenities you might need. The house is set in beautiful countryside with Susie’s horses in paddocks surrounding the house. The location was ideal for a day at the races, if memory serves me right, about 20 minutes in a cab. A word of warning, get a cab pre-booked if visiting as all local firms were too busy when we tried to book an hour prior. Further to the races, you are in close proximity to the Deer park, Windsor castle and Windsor park. Hamish and Susie can advise on best places to park, conveniently near a pub for a beer before you head back for the evening. Onto the hosts, Hamish and Susie really are spectacular! From the warm welcome on arrival to unloading their extensive local knowledge of country walks and country pubs, they really couldn’t have done anymore to help. They really went the extra mile, particularly when they gave us a lift into town to the races when local taxi firms proved too busy, and when a skillet appeared in the kitchen following a conversation about having a steak night that evening - it didn't go unnoticed. Overall our experience at Little Hideaway gets full marks, not something we hand out easily. We hope to see Hamish and Susie again at some point!

The beautiful photographs were what drew me to this property - but I really wasn't prepared for how stunning it actually is! Hidden away in a picturesque setting, Hamish and Susie have designed a warm and cosy home from home with their creative use of space, superb styling and excusite attention to detail. We were greeted warmly by Hamish and enjoyed the treats of the unexpected welcome hamper. The studio is equipped with everything needed for a short or longer stay, is exceptionaly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Windsor was a 10 minute drive away and we had a fabulous meal at The Fox and Hounds in nearby Englefield Green, as recommended by Hamish. A truly amazing weekend, peaceful and restful - just what we needed. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We couldn't have asked for a lovelier place to stay with our five year old grandson. The apartment was beautifully decorated with luxurious furniture and a huge bed. The plush carpet and throws made us want to curl up in the super comfortable lounge. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome pack was full of delicious goodies. The lovely, well tended garden was a great space for an energetic youngster. Hamish and Susie were wonderful, welcoming hosts with great local knowledge of everything Windsor has to offer and gave us great tips on local pubs and restaurants. The Little Hideaway would be a great place for a break any time of year, but was perfect for relaxing on long, sunny Summer days. We hope to return.
