ACCESS – Guests must have their own car. Be aware that the property is located in the countryside and reached by a private farm road with loose stone (not tarmac) surface. The road is therefore bumpy and slower to drive than a normal road. The majority of our guests drive rental cars (usually small models like the Fiat Panda) and do not find the road problematic. Ask in advance if you want more information.

Absolutely magical!

About the neighbourhood
For wine lovers, this is the Chianti Rufina wine producing area. Our property is located on the prestigious Castello di Nipozzano wine estate. We can book you a wine tasting with visit to the historic cellars. Located on the east side of Florence, this area produces excellent, full-bodied red wines and is less frequented by tourists than Chianti Classico on the south side. We can help with booking tastings around this area, but also in Chianti Classico. (Greve in Chianti is around 45 minutes from here.) For hikers there are numerous paths to be discovered, even just around our property. Just 15 minutes distance by car is the MALL designer fashion outlet, where all the top fashion brands have stores, from Prada, Gucci, Ferragamo
Getting around
You need a car to stay at this property because it is located in open countryside. The 2 main airports in Tuscany (Pisa and Florence) are easily accessible . Pisa is 1 hour 45 minutes, Florence around 35 minutes by car. Florence centre can be reached in 30 minutes by car or by train. Regular train The town of Pontassieve is only about 6 minutes away. Here you can park your car free of charge and take the train to central Florence. This is our preferred method of getting into Florence. It solves all those headaches about parking. And anyway the centre of Florence is so compact you can do everything on foot.
