Oceanview is a beautifully finished, private self-contained, self-catering apartment with a balcony, occupying half the lower level of Roundhouse, Castara with a spectacular seaview. Every effort has been made by the owner to ensure home from home comfort. This apartment can also be rented as a 2 bedroom on a separate listing 9079050. . The stunning sea view from the property is perhaps one of the most photographed in Castara. Sitting on the balcony at sundown, drink of choice in hand, one begins to understand why. Be prepared for visits from a variety of birds including humming birds and keep a watch out for iguanas and aguti. The sunsets are frequently beyond spectacular. Defiantly positioned on the hill overlooking Little Bay, the mostly wood, green roofed OCTAGONAL structure m... Swimming and snorkelling at Little Bay is a mere 2 minute walk away and the restaurant is open most days for lunch and evening meals. Oceanview is a good quality sizeable apartment and enjoys sea views from within the apartment. All fixtures and fittings are bespoke and local ethically sourced wood was used by the joiner as far as possible. The apartment is attractively vented to ensure fresh air flow and two ceiling fans and 2 floor fans are provided to keep the apartment cool. The bed has an attractive mosquito nets and the top quality orthopaedic mattresse ensures a good night’s sleep. The fitted kitchen is extremely well equipped with good quality cookware and utencils.. Hot and cold water is provided. Its worthwhile to take the time to read all the information on this site, particularly the Booking Terms and Conditions. Please also note that this agent charges both you and the owner a booking fee as mentioned in their terms and conditions. This is included in the quote you receive. Please note. Although the booking terms state no refunds of monies paid if cancelling, every endeavour will be made to fill the vacancy at which time your money minus booking fees will be duly refunded. If you decide to stay in Oceanview, may I give you the following advice. 1. Make sure you can get your flight prior to booking the apartment 2. If possible, fly to ANR Airport Tobago and not Trinidad's Piarco airport 3. If you do book to land in Trinidad, please make sure you book the onward flight to Tobago at the same time (Caribbean airlines). It is a very busy inter islands service and therefore a flight to Tobago cannot be guaranteed on the day of arrival unless booked in advance. 4. Keep the name, address and phone number of the apartment with your passport as Immigration will need to write this down. 5. If you plan to fly to Trinidad and come to Tobago by ferry, please make sure there are no public holidays around the time required as a ticket cannot be guaranteed and could result in waiting for a standby for a few hours at Port of Spain ferry port which is a little soul destroying. Hi, I live above the apartment which I assure you is so well soundproofed that its not a problem for either myself or my guests. I like to achieve a good balance of interaction with my guests. I am there if needed, happy to have a chat if desired, but on the whole allow my guests to feel free and unencumbered to enjoy their stay in Oceanview and do their own thing. Bird heaven!

Just beautiful

About the neighbourhood
Oceanview, Roundhouse is well positioned in the village with a a variety of small shops,a large supermarket in the village centre.. Everything is within working distance. Castara Village is small in size but big in heart. It can be described as mainly quiet with times when the music might be loud. The national past-time of liming (hanging out) is taken seriously. It boasts cafes, bars and restaurants. There are often village events and everyThursday there is a bonfire night party on the big beach . We are fortunate to have a river leading to waterfalls, also walkable distance. Castara is safe to walk around night and is equally suitable to the very young and not so young and all ages between.
Getting around
There is a bus service from Castara into Scarborough. It runs every 2 hours but the times are not always reliable. Ask me for assistance if you would like to give it a try. .Also, for a pre-agreed price a local will drive you to where you wish to go and either travel around with you or collect you at a set time and bring you back to Castara. Other ways are to join a larger island tour, book an island tour for your party alone, hire a car and driver and customize your own tour or hire a car for the day.Jenny will give you the info once you are at Oceanview.
