The cottage is located in the quintessential Cotswold village of Todenham, three miles away from the picturesque market town of Moreton in Marsh, with its many shops, pubs and restaurants, and direct train line to London. There are many country walks accessible directly from the cottage, which is also well positioned for exploring the many lovely villages and towns of the north Cotswolds, including Chipping Campden, Broadway and Stow-on-the-Wold. Well known tourist attractions, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace and Oxford are also all just a short drive away....

We booked this property thru Character Cottages. .....they were great. Immediate responses and the paperwork ( directions etc) was very concise/thorough. The house is in a tiny little village but only minutes away from Morten in Marsh where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, tea...More

About the neighbourhood
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone 'wool churches'. The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
