Casa del Colle holiday villa is a 30 minute drive from the wonderful beaches on the Adriatic coast and overlooks the medieval town of Penne, voted recently as one of the “Most Beautiful Towns in Italy”. With the infamous Gran Sasso mountain range and National Park on your doorstep you can drive or, like Pantani in the 1999 Grio d’Italia, cycle up its winding roads to discover the spectacular views from Campo Imperatore. From skiing to beaches, metropolises to precariously perched hill top villages, sample the best cuisine Italy has to offer and explore an area rich in culture, history and warmth....Casa del Colle holiday villa is a 30 minute drive from the wonderful beaches on the Adriatic coast and overlooks the medieval town of Penne, voted recently as one of the “Most Beautiful Towns in Italy”. The closest airport is in Pescara. A small and accessible airport with car hire facilities and regular flights from most major European cities. Rome Fiumicino, Rome Ciampino and Ancona airports are under a 2.5 hour drive from the villa and will offer more choice and flexibility with flights. Casa del Colle is a 40 minute drive from Pescara Airport and only a 2.5 hour drive from Rome Fiumicino, Rome Ciampino and Ancona airports.
Driving to Casa del Colle through central Europe is a thoroughly rewarding experience; Owners Steve & Marion do the trip from the UK often and would be more than happy to share travel advice and places to stay enroute.
