Heaven on earth!

Everything I hoped it would be! Karin and Freddy are taking great care of us. I love the location most of. Walking distance to town even to Mambo beach 25 minutes if like to walk if not there’s plenty of $2 buses that will take...More

About the neighbourhood
The location of this modern apartment complex (build in 2015) was the house of Freddy’s grandmother, and still, lots of happy memories come flooding back every time we check-in our guests. While it is still an old low-class neighborhood, it harbors a lot of pleasant families who have lived there for generations in harmony and who look out for each other. It is one of the areas in Curaçao with the largest concentration of small wooden houses; their existence dates from the end of the 19th century. Being so close to the lively ‘Pietermaai’ area, an upcoming area between the apartment complex and town makes this a very active area. Restorations are taking place which leads to even more restaurants and popular cafés.
Getting around
The apartment is very centrally located. There are several well-known restaurants walking distance from the apartment complex and the Avila Beach Hotel is at an easy 200 meters walk on a parallel street. The Pietermaai area has a lot of restaurants, bars/café’s like St. Tropez Ocean Club, Mundo Bizarro, and 27 Bar with live music. The Boulevard strip is only a few minutes by car, bus or taxi. It is a unique concept for the island which combines shopping, dining, entertainment, and very popular beaches. The apartment is within the rim of the capital of Willemstad, Punda (1-1.5 km). You can cross the famous Queen Emma pontoon bridge, the “Swinging Old Lady”, to Otrobanda with shopping in the Riffort Village. Also Renaissance Hotel&Casino
