Southwinds is a detached bungalow in an enviable position in Upper Solva, with uninterrupted seaviews over St. Brides Bay. Tucked away along a footpath it is in a quiet position but within walking distance of the beach,local pubs and restaurants. An idea place to relax and as a base for exploring the Pembrokeshire National Park and surrounding area. The open plan lounge/diner has a bright conservatory with views to the sea. The open fire is lovely for those cosy winter evenings. An easy walk takes you to the Pembrokeshire coastal path - which runs for 186 miles from Amroth to St Dogmaels. There are 2 bedrooms, the kingsize with it's picture window and view over the harbour,great for long lie ins. The pleasant twin has a garden view. About the neighbourhood
Solva is situated on the West Wales coast 4miles from St Davids and it's mediaeval catherdral. It is an ideal place to walk being on the Pembrokeshire long distance coast path with it's ever changing seascape. There are also lots of paths through the village and surrounding area. There is a coastal bus service which operates all year round ( check times before setting out) making it possible, with some planning, to leave the car behind. The harbour is tidal and at full tide a popular passtime with the children is crab fishing - not for eating they are safely returned to the sea. An excellent area for cycling being on the Sustrans route 4 and there are lots of quiet lanes. Boats trips and other water activities such as coasteering and caneoing can be arranged in St Davids. How to get there
Solva is a pretty coastal village in the wonderful Pembrokeshire National Park. It is about a appriximately a 2 1/2 hr drive from Cardiff. Take the M4 to Carmarthen ,then A487 towards St Davids. The nearest train station is at Haverfordwest. Contact the owner if you need further details.
