About the neighbourhood
Located at the mouth of the Mawdach estuary there are many stunning walks with equally stunning scenery on the doorstep. Barmouth can be reached by the small ferry service with operates during the main season or you can walk / cycle over the iconic Barmouth bridge. Fairbourne has many of its own attractions including a pitch and put golf course, pony trecking centre, minature steam railway, small amusement arcade, 2 pubs, indian restaurant, fish and chip shop, local shops. It is a perfect area for families and covenient for exploring other towns along the coast line by train.
Getting around
You can easily do plenty of exploring without the need for a car, the train station is just a 3 minute walk away and is perfect for expoling the North Wales coastline. You can also hop across the harbour to Barmouth in one of the small ferry boats that operate during the summer months for a very reasonable price. Or even walk or cycle across the iconic Barmouth Bridge.
