The owner is very simpática, and we wish her well. We were disappointed with the unit. The only hot water is in the shower. Washing dishes in cold water turns me off. Yet more, trying to shave. Especially without even a dish drying rack, or a face-high mirror in the bathroom. The only table is too small for serving a meal, even for only 2 people, although the sala has enough room for at least a card table. The electronic door lock is very difficult to use. And the house is located on an ugly, dark alley with broken pavement in an ugly part of Veracruz, although I must be clear that we did not feel unsafe, or experience any crime. The rate is low. But you are getting only so much for your money. Beyond the immediate waterfront area, we learned, Veracruz city is quite run down and ugly. If you're going on vacation, think about staying instead in Boca del Rio, tho it might cost more.
