We are on Isla Mujeres as we speak. Our family of 6 rented it for 8 days. This house is absolutely 💯 amazing. We love it. Its directly north of Playa Media Luna Hotel, its managed by the hotel. You are allowed to use their pool and beach towels. Drive past the hotel and its right there. Huge wooden door allows you entry into the property. Beautiful yard full of palm trees and sand. Cement and foliage surrounding the property. The pool is refreshing, despite the heat. Its got a little dipping end. 3 tables (2 with an umbrella) 9 chairs, 5 lounge chairs (a bit wore out, but heck, you're steps from the ocean water)and one big beach bed. The beach gate to the property locks from the inside and out. Nice for a beach walk. Beautiful bushes line the path to the beach, provides privacy. 4 steps out and your in the ocean of north Beach. Mia right out front. Plenty of shallow ocean and snorkel opportunities. Floaties left by past guests are great. The kitchen is spacious, with a huge dinner table. Large water dispenser, replaced every other day or as needed. We haven't cooked. Nice coffee maker, filters provided. We brought our own coffee. Bedroom: 2 king room with attached (full) bathroom, tvs, nice stiff mattress (my pref) shortie pillows various thicknesses. Plenty of drawers and closet space. Good amount of hangers. Great bathroom lighting (yay for us ladies). Tub in one room (water pressure soso, but who cares!) , walk-in shower in the other. Bedroom: 2 double bed rooms, with 2 double beds in each. No TV. Armoir in each. The main bathroom is between those two rooms. A.c. units (work great) in each bedroom and kitchen. Comfy couches. Marble floor. The house is very quiet sound proof. Maid is the bomb, comes every other day. Pool guy comes too. The property is amazing, great job Maria! I've tried to attached photos, t.a. say they are all too big!

This was our first reservation at Aqua. We had been trying to book this property for 2 years, but was never available during our time of trip. Lets start with all of the great things this property offers: Perfect location that allows you to walk to the beach, restaurants, downtown. The scenery from the pool area is breathtaking. We searched for a property with a pool and it delivered! Our group of 16 had a common meeting place at the end of the day for afternoon cocktails and swimming. Only 6 of us stayed at this particular property. Room for 8 comfortably. Excellent sized bedrooms and the air conditioning worked perfectly to cool us down in the hot June temperatures. One great benefit is that this property comes with benefits with Playa Media Luna hotel which is right next door. This gave us access to their larger pool, beach towels. The property is hidden off the beaten path which we appreciated for privacy and it was surrounded with stone privacy wall and lush gardens. There was also private parking for 2 golf carts. The water pressure was great with plenty of hot water, but given the heat, we didn't use it much. Also appreciated were the toilets and flushing well. Our party located in another hotel could not say the same. We also need to give kudos to our housekeeping person. She left us a note saying she would be taking care of us during our stay and would come every other day. We left her a generous tip which she promptly appreciated. She kept the home so very clean and you could tell she took pride in her work. There was also a gardner that arrived each morning early between the hours of 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM to take care of the trimming, watering and assuring all was clean. He did a great job and had a friendly smile! Our home felt very secure with the private gate being locked as well as the private gate from the pool area to the beach being locked as well. There was also an outdoor shower located just inside the beach gate which allowed us to clean off and not track in the home. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes, silverware and glasses. Also, good quality of pans to be used if need be. We found the bedding to be very comfortable as well. Now for the areas of opportunities for improvement: In the master bath shower, the water spicket literally fell off when I turned on the shower. Water came spraying straight out! I placed it back on and it was loosely held there, but in doing that, the water pressure was lowered. This definitely needs to be fixed for future guests! The pool was like being in bath water and did not have any sort of chlorine smell so wondering how clean this water would be. We did not notice anyone putting clorine or treating the pool while we were there, but it is possible this was done while we were gone or asleep. There were only 3 large knives in the kitchen and they were super dull. No way to cut fruit so we went and bought a large serrated knife from Chedrau and donated it to the home for future guests. The Wifi was not hooked up when we arrived. The plugs were connected incorrectly but luckily one of our guests was a Tech and reconnected everything for us. The TV was not working. We were told there was cable but when home turned on, it was all fuzzy. We didn't plan on watching much TV, but would have been nice to be working for morning news. We told the hotel staff initially, but they never addressed this. The water cooler was empty as well with the entire water cooler container missing. We requested this and a new container was delivered 1 hour later. The biggest concern which left us with a bad first impression was that when we arrived the home's air conditioning system was not turned on and it must have been over 80 degrees in the home! Having traveled many hours and shlepping our luggage from he port, we were hot and sweaty. We totally appreciate conserving electricity, but knowing our time of arrival, it would have been a nice gesture for the hotel to turn the air on prior to our arrival so it wouldn't have taken the next 4 hours to cool down the home.

This place is wonderful if you have appropriate expectations. When we arrived at Casa Aqua, my gut reaction was a little bit of disappointment. Some of the furnishings and decor are tattered and worn, the kitchen sink needs replacement, the outside of the windows are very dirty, and there are some mildewy smells in the back bedrooms. That said, I fell in love with the house due to the location, and actually would stay again! It sits on a beautiful, sandy, lagoon, perfect for playing and floating around. It's a short walk to Playa Norte and Hidalgo Street, and there's amazing street food about a quarter mile away. The pool was clean and a perfect size. My husband and I had one of the king bedrooms and it was very comfortable. Although a little rough around the edges, the house was very clean. Over all, I'd recommend it and I'd stay again. With a little more attention to detail, it could be truly excellent!

Our party of 6 couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Casa Aqua. From the friendly and attentive staff at Lost Oasis, that manage reservations and made everything so easy to book our trip; to the warm and accommodating staff at Playa Media de Luna, that welcomed us when we arrived, and tended to our every need during our stay. The house is perfectly appointed, well maintained, with luxurious amenities, and in a prime location, central to anything and everything. Looking forward to next time. Isla Mujeres, and it's lovely people are a gift from God. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation.

This place! It's so private with its own small but adequate pool and gate to the beach, but oh so close to everything. The beach is actually an inlet so waves are minimal. Perfect for small kids. To the left is playa Norte which is calm and "beachy". To the right is the ocean side with big rocks and powerful waves. The house is located at the tip of the island so You can go just a few steps from the door and see the sun rise in the east, spend the day on the beach/pool and turn your chair to watch the sun set in the west. If you happen to get lonely just go next door to playa de media Luna pool and have a cocktail and hear the waves crash and enjoy the cool ocean breeze. The house itself is clean, comfy, and private. We had some water issues but the staff was quick to respond and fix the problem. Also the towel thing. You get a beach towel and are encouraged to keep it two days. You turn it in at night and they launder and you can pick it up the next day, a small price to pay to help conserve the islands water and resources. Maid service is every other day and usually in the afternoon. "Hell"dago street is just a short walk and has lots of shopping and restaurants. I avoid this street at all costs. Go down once and decide for yourself. However there at a couple of must visit places. Qubano is delicious and roosters is a great breakfast spot. There is a fabulous Peruvian restaurant one street closer to the casa aqua.

Located on the north end of the island, Aqua is a perfect place for a couple of families (or 3-4 couples) to get together. Plenty of room for 8, a well-maintained pool with nice patio furniture and very private. Within walking distance to MANY restaurants and shopping and great snorkeling out in front. Aqua is the perfect location for people who are willing to share the same living space.j

Owner did not respond even after several attempts to reach via email and other websites. We ended up booking with another property after several attempts to reach the owner via this website and other high profile vacation rental websites. They listed the property as being available during our desired timeframe but didn't respond to my 5 attempts at correspondence. My recommendation..... Find another place that has the courtesy to respond. Alternatively, we booked an amazing property for our family vacation and are excited for our trip.

Paradise! This house was in the perfect location on a gorgeous white sand beach with lots of colourful fish where you could snorkel. The house was very clean and with very comfortable furniture and beds/bedding. The pool was fantastic and well tended as were the grounds themselves. Loved this place, the whole family had a great time, including the kids who had so much fun in the pool and ocean. Would highly recommend this house as it is in the absolute perfect location, just a couple blocks from restaurants and shops but far enough away where you have quiet and privacy. Only minor complaint is there isn't a great selection of cooking tools but we made do just fine! Love to go back!!!

I cannot imagine a better place for a family trip! Can't beat having your own beach AND a pool. Super comfortable beds. A couple of short blocks from endless choices to shop and eat. So close to the ultimate beach, Playa Norte - in fact, you can walk there along the beach (starting from your own beach) with your toes in the sand. Next door to the quiet hotel Playa de Media Luna which provides fresh beach towels and a continental breakfast every day, and maid service every other day. Feels very secure and safe, fenced with locking gates. All one level, no stairs. Go stay there, you will not be sorry. I just hope I can return someday soon!

I stayed at the villa w/ 4 adult ladies for a week. The space is very inviting and provided us w/ both privacy and the ability to spend quality time together. The common space is an open floor plan allowing for us to enjoy breakfast together at the large dining room table, and read books or just chitter chatter in the living room area. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds were very comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have private baths, w/ the two back rooms sharing. This was not a problem. The kitchen was nice but kitchen supplies were minimal. You can't quite cook a dinner w/ the pots, pans, knives, etc., provided. The house was very clean. Wifi access was strong and easy to connect to. The outdoor space allowed for us to enjoy time around the pool and provided easy access to the beach just steps away. The villa is surrounded by a large wall and gates that are locked at all times. We felt very safe here. The villa is located just two blocks from the main street where you will find a plethora of restaurants and shops. Bring your small group or family for a week of relaxation and fun in the sun!!
