Dear Valued Guests, The Government has implemented two additional taxes on short term vacation rentals (under 30 days stay) in BC on top of the current 5% GST which takes effect October 1, 2018 ; these new taxes are as follows and will unfortunately be added to the total rental: 1. The Provincial Sales Tax, PST 8% 2. The Municipal & Regional District Tax, MRDT 3% * Long Term stays: The platform unfortunately does not yet have the means to separate the taxes and distinguish Short term rentals versus long term stays so for long term stay bookings, the taxes will be ADDED and then the 11% (PST & MRDT taxes) that is not applicable will be refunded to you. We ask guests to be respectable of our home as if it were your own. *maximum of 6 people; Two bedrooms are on the main floor while the third/queen sized bed is upstairs in the den. *Please do not sit on the sofas and bed sheets with suntan lotions, it leaves a permanent stain on the fabric. * We ask that you do not wear stiletto shoes on the hardwood floor (teak floor) softer than regular hardwood. * This unit is not suitable for large events, no stag/bachelor parties.
