The location was great as its near two beaches, which was good for our dogs and grandchildren. There's also a small shop at the end of the lane from the house which was very useful, also a lovely pub called the oystercatcher which again is...More

So pleased that everything went so smoothly and you had a great Christmas stay. People tend to think of Cornwall for Summer holidays, but even in winter it is a great holiday!

About the neighbourhood
Trebetherick Point is a rocky, cliff outcrop separating Hayle Bay, Polzeath from Daymer Bay Beach to the South. The remains of shipwrecks can still be seen on the dangerous jagged rocks. It has long been a haunt of nature lovers, and recently has attracted celebrities and royalty, including Hugh Grant and Princes William and Harry and David Cameron. The new St. Moritz development has enhanced its reputation. It is an area of outstanding beauty with a rugged coastline, un-spoilt beaches perfect for children (Big Cave is a must at low spring tides) and within easy access of the South West Coast Path.
Getting around
Public transport is fairly rudimentary in Trebtherick but there are some buses to Wadebridge or up the coast. Bodmin Parkway is the main railway station and about 40 mins away. Otherwise you can walk to most places.
There is an evening ferry to Padstow if dining out at Steins for instance.
