About the neighbourhood
Located in a quite rd in the village of Ynysmeudwy, near Pontardawe (with shops and restaurants) in the Swansea Valley. The Swansea Valley is where steel making and the industrial revolution first began. The gates of buckingham palace and part of the roof of the White House were made locally. Nowadays industry has gone and much if the land has been returned to its state of natural beauty. Pontardawe now contains the highest amount of urban tree canopy out of all the western valleys, its steep valley sides are covered in ancient woodlands. On the door step traffic free cycle network, massive river, lots of woodland walks, historic canal, and the beautiful gorge Cwm Du Glen. Pontardawe Arts centre host lots of shows, gigs and comedy.
