It's a beautiful house with picture windows facing the ocean. The Patio has a roof for shade if you want, or there's a place in the sun if you prefer. There a staircase to a narrow beach behind the seawall. Although there are waves, it's safe to get wet. We ate in most of our meals and there were plenty of appliances for such. The house is in a gated community with a guard station, very safe. The housekeeper, Mariella will check you in, she's lovely. We didn't much care for the area beaches and were comfortable just hanging out at the house. A road trip to Portobelo is a must, there's a lot of history there and Panamanian charm. We also took a road trip to Isla Grande, but didn't care to take the boat to the island, seemed like too much of a tourist trap, but the ride up was well worth it and the scenery there is spectacular. Although there's a small market in Portobelo for water and such, you really need to stock up on provisions and gas in Sabanitas, there are supermarkets there. We had a great one week stay and would recommend it highly.

Our family stayed in this home for about 7 days.The house met our room needs since there were 4 adults and one young child. We arrived late at night-the house keeper met us which was wonderful. We initially had trouble with the A/C units in the living room and master bedroom. We got them worked out after a couple of days. We were not sure what to buy at the store in town condiment wise. We found that we needed several as the house did not come with them. We also purchased some paper products as there was not a back up supply. Except for at night we found that opening the doors and windows cooled the house sufficiently. You probably would want the A/C at night. Bugs were minimal which was a plus. We found beaches within a few miles of the house that worked great as the water out the back doors was too rough. It is a quiet subdivision which was wonderful. Close to many small towns and old fort ruins to see. We had never been to Panama before so this was a nice place to visit with warm weather and lush greenery

We absolutely loved our stay at Alex's Casa. The house was fabulous, Alex was perfect to communicate with, and the housekeeper was lovely, and so helpful and responsive. The house was fabulous. The area was a dream! There was no beach in front of the house because of the high water, but the protected beach around the corner was fabulous. Our kids were always eager for the beach, so we were really happy that the neighborhood had one just a tiny walk away. We went to Miraflores for a day trip - that was a fabulous trip that Alex had recommended. Thank you, Alex! We also ended up connecting with a fabulous tour guide, Jason, from Portobelo Adventures. He was AMAZING! He came up with all sorts of perfect adventures for our family (hikes in the jungle, along rivers, to beaches, kayaking, we saw lots of wildlife, etc..). We coordinated about 6 tours with him and it was a perfect way to really see the area, the jungle / national park (that has no official trails) and the nature. We highly recommend him! Thank you again so much to Alex for an adventure of a lifetime!

Traumhafte Lage, perfekt zum entspannen.

The house is beautiful, spacious and modern.  The location was very convenient between Colon and Portobelo also Panama City was only an hour and a half away. Be warned there are very few road signs in Panama so be prepared to get lost. We all loved the breezes coming through the house even at night after we closed up. Listening to the waves and feeling the breezes was wonderful. We loved having breakfast on the patio watching the pelicans diving for their breakfast.. There was no private beach the entire time we were there. We assumed it was because of the big storm raging out at sea.. Hopefully that issue has resolved itself. Alex recommended some restaurants in the area. We had a great time at Captain Jack's and El Castillo. The food was delicious at all the restaurants we encountered. Captain Jack's is the only restaurant that is always open. Make sure you have cash most places do not take credit cards in this area. Don't miss the SAFARICK'S ZOOLOGICO in Maria Chiquita it's a local zoo/rescue. I was a little disappointed that there were no sloths, it was explained to us that they recently did have two injured sloths but they had recovered and were released back into the jungle the week before. Can't get any better than that!! Well worth the time to visit and the owners are wonderful people. They do accept credit cards.. We were warned ahead of our arrival by Alex not to drink the water. We purchased bottle water from the local grocery store - we recommend the Super 99 Grocery Store which is about ¼ mile past the El Rey in Sabanitas. It's a big modern grocery store and it takes credit cards!! The property managers Cindy and Jim are very friendly and helpful. We had a great time in Panama and were very comfortable at Alex's beautiful home.

The house is a small villa..(interior like a loft...simple and more than adequate)....which sits right on a beautiful bay with the most exquisite view and sounds of the sea, Alex was welcoming and provided us with a detailed list of places to eat/visit and nearby things to do. A car is necessary, as beaches and shopping are from a couple of minutes away to a half-hour..The beaches are beautiful and the fruit and fish available in markets and from street-vendors is "just off the tree" or "just fished that morning." We used the kitchen a lot, and ate, bug-less, out on our veranda facing the sea. Sublime. And there's all the towels and chairs we needed and a hammock. The place is kept spotless by Mariella, the sympathetic house-keeper. We're so glad that we discovered #32. See you next year, Alex.

This was a good choice for our group. The house is spacious with a lovely view. It was just as described. The view of the water is refreshing. We sat out on the veranda every day - even during the rain. November is their rainy season. Alex, the owner was very informative about the area - places to see and restaurants. I have never encountered someone so helpful. He also gave us the name of a local couple that we could contact if necessary. They were always responsive. I would highly suggest this beautiful home. The house is between Sabanitas and Porobelo. We went to Portobelo several times. One of the local restaurants we enjoyed in Portobelo was Captain Jack's. The food was delicious and the owner and employees are very friendly. This was our first time to Panama. I would suggest knowing some Spanish. Also nowhere in Panama are establishments in a hurry. Expect to relax and enjoy.
