We broke our golden rule when booking Sarah's property, which is 'never book a property with no reviews'. However we were a bit last minute for our booking, the photos were simply spectacular and the description promised a just completed renovation. We decided to go for it nevertheless. We were a bit put off upon arrival as the exterior renovations were not yet quite completed - the lower half of the house lacked siding and was sheathed in house wrap. It also looked like the windows of the house could have benefited from a good post-renovation cleaning with streaks, cobwebs and stains being in evidence. Happily, the interior renovations were well completed and the inside was nicely done as evidenced by the photos in the listing. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with every pot, pan and container imaginable and we made good use of the outdoor BBQ. The views from inside and outside the property are simply spectacular, the small beach and lower deck were favourite spots to spend time by the water. Inexplicably, there was no outdoor dining set up during our visit - no table, chairs or parasol, a disappointing oversight in a property that is selected for it's outdoor views. Sarah has assured me that this oversight is now being corrected. On that note, Sarah was a very kind, responsive and apologetic for some other minor issues that arose during our stay. Overall the property and location are phenomenal, however we did find that the premium price we paid for our stay was not consistent with the state of the property. At that price point, the house and installations should have been perfect.
