Wonderful place!

Gazebo should not be advertised if not available. I left a list of issues needing attention with the house manual.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time at the property. It was raining hence we could not go out much, but the property and the view that it provides was just incredible. We enjoyed being confined to the property.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent a week at your property from 24 June 2022 to 02 July 2022. The house is located in a wonderful position surrounded by trees and very close to the sea front. However, when we arrived we found:<br/>&#x2022; The house not properly cleaned.<br/>&#x2022; One of the toilets would not flush and the toilet bowl was smeared with faeces.<br/>&#x2022; Dead flies and other debris scattered around.<br/>&#x2022; The fireplace was not cleaned and had the remains of the previous fire.<br/>&#x2022; General maintenance not done, for example: Towel rails coming away from the walls, bad fitting draw in the kitchen, fly screens missing on windows, runners for the sliding door to the deck from the kitchen so dirty and full of debris that made the door difficult to open.<br/>&#x2022; Even if described as a feature, and some of the reasons why we selected the property, the pier and the gazebo were out of bounds, considerably reducing our enjoyment of the property<br/>&#x2022; There was not sufficient space to hang clothes, particularly on the top floor.<br/>&#x2022; The upper deck had a table and 4 chairs on it, which were dirty and rusty. The fabric on the seat of the chairs was ripped and probably dangerous.<br/>Additionally the support and communications from the letting agency were very poor:<br/>&#x2022; It took until Tuesday to sort out the toilet problem and did not get calls back when I was told I was going to. The excuse given was that the letting company does not allow to ring foreign cell telephones.<br/>&#x2022; The agent promised to come with the plumber but did not turned up until I was gone for the day, even if I had clearly told him that I was going fishing from 0930 h.<br/>&#x2022; We were told that the charges would be reviewed as the gazebo and landing pier were not usable, but have not received any notifications.<br/>&#x2022; In resume, what it could have been a great stay resulted in an OK stay. The house is tired and for the price paid we were expecting a hig

20 min from Sooke on winding roads... However this is a great, peaceful property with spectacular views of the bay! Great sighting of eagles and other prey birds flying nearby. Property manager accessible and quick to answer questions. Could be better stocked for group of 8 (only set of 8 in dishes, cutlery, etc.). We do recommend this property...

Reviewer Comments: I was frustrated and disappointed in this rental.- firewood is not included.- the building was stone cold when we arrived- missing equipment and broken equipment (eg shovel for fireplace, no tea pot etc, no candles or matches)<br/>- the hosting process is inconvenient<br/>- there is no safe access to the water- the gazebo was locked, so we couldn't spend time near the ocean. <br/>* for the 5 bedrooms there was a total of 2 extra blankets. you need more blankets.* there were no extra linens for the beds. For example, there were no sheets for the hide-a-bed.
