The house was set up so well for our family! Kids bedrooms upstairs, primary bedroom on the main floor, great access to washrooms on both levels . The dock and view are stunning, very quiet and awesome place. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous views of the Sooke bay & a quiet and restful place for me & my family. Enjoyed watching sea otters, ospreys, kingfishers, purple starfish and so much more. Loved being close to several regional parks so as to enjoy the trails, lakes & beaches.

Our stay in this property was very comfortable with 6 adults . There was a large very well equipped kitchen , comfortable bedrooms and sitting areas . The highlight was the large deck where we could relax and enjoy the stunning sunrises. Definitely would return!

Bigwood Lodge has spectacular views, is well stocked and very comfortable for a family getaway. Our family spotted many wildlife - both on land (deer) and in the water (otters and jellyfish). Thank you very much for the stay!

We were so excited to have found Bigwood Lodge to celebrate our dad's 60th birthday. It was extremely well stocked, well located, and well kept. Our stay was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed the views and wildlife, including the otter family, seals, deer, birds, and even a black bear. The house was clean and comfortable and we loved the views. We enjoyed watching a seal one morning as we ate breakfast on the deck. The deer in the area were fun to watch, too. We loved our stay here!

We had another unforgettable Canada Day long weekend at this holiday home. Beautiful view, a three-member deer family visiting us every morning and evening, lovely rabbits in the front yard, seals in the sea, and a total of 53 Canada geese lined up across the pier every night, various birds in the yard. and the quiet and friendly community and neighbors. Every day we came back to this holiday home from sightseeing, always feel so relaxed and loved! Actually this is our second time renting this house. We rented the house three years ago for the Canada Day long weekend and it has many fond memories. this time the only fly in the ointment was that we couldn't see the sunrise in the morning from the house like three years ago due to the weather. And Brian is so nice, reply my email quickly and friendly. Thanks Brian! Will come back again.

The cottage is beautiful and spacious, the scenery gorgeous, the vibe relaxing...just overall amazing! 10/10 would stay again!

Brian and Suzanne's place is so beautiful! We enjoyed the cottage a lot. There are definitely lots of wildlife in the area. We saw lots of deers, geese, a few seals in the distance, and tons of birds. The view is so amazing, we spent a lot of time hanging out in the living room and the deck to just enjoy the incredible surrounding. The kitchen is well stocked and we also used the bbq a few times. Definitely a great stay!

The house was very spacious and ever so well stocked. The waterfront location was lovely, whether we were inside or outside. The surrounding area is wonderful and we enjoyed hikes at East Sooke Regional Park. The late checkout we were given was so appreciated.
