Laid back, quiet, on the beach, what more could you ask for. House is old but charming and had pretty much everything you need. Bring your food and you don’t even need to leave

Great vistas, wonderful outdoor spaces, walkable beaches & lots of wildlife (eagles, seals, osprey to name a few). Property is private, nicely landscaped and well kept. Accommodation is roomy, clean, well outfitted and tastefully decored. Beds are super comfy! All this, with restaurants and city amenities only a short drive away! A must stay for those wanting to experience quaint, westcoast, waterfront living at its best!

Incredible escape from the reality of the US. Great location near Victoria. Loved the beach - neighbors and Romeo were friendly (except that he is a killer of the baby geese). Electrical lights were a bit challenging to figure out. Would suggest a notebook with key information for guests. Wifi was not strong, but acceptable. Had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back again.

The location is lovely- right on the water, but the home is in need of major cleaning & renos. We were unable to use one of the bedrooms as the bed & carpet were soaked in urine. Not sure how that could have been missed when cleaning - the smell alone was disgusting. Unfortunately it meant one couple had to sleep in bunk beds with thin mattresses meant for kids. Not ideal. We’ve been promised one night refund. Hopefully it comes through.

This place was well equipped with all the essentials which was so much appreciated! It has an amazing view of the water from everywhere in the main part of the house which is spacious. The yard is beautiful and everything is very well kept. The layout of the home is also exceptional. Their is a master suite and bathroom on one side of house and another bathroom with 3 more bedrooms on the opposite side. I could go on forever! It’s well worth the cost and we’re planning to come back for a longer period next year. It’s truly amazing!

Spend 3 nights, with our family. The house was everything we needed/wanted. Steps away from the beach. All the necessary house hold items were included. Close enough to town and central to the beaches furthur up island. Would happily go back.

Very nice place right on the beach. Low tide was very fun with our 3 year old. Teens had enough space.

Enjoyed our time at this property in Sooke. Great location- right on the water. Home was roomy and comfortable, kitchen well stocked and stove was the perfect way to warm up after cool, wet hikes.

The cottage was very clean and easily accommodated 4 adults. Beautiful location. We could not take advantage of the front patio, as we had typical early December cool and misty days. The manager responded quickly to our emails. The cottage is showing its age, but we loved it anyway.
