The Sooke Mountain House is truly worth every penny. The owners are extremely accommodating and friendly. I can't thank them enough for the experience. The floor beds were VERY comfortable as were the regular beds. The house is very spacious and the view is to die for!

We had a great family reunion with our grown children. The deck was an awesome gathering place for our evening meals. We enjoyed a couple of movie nights with the full size screen. Beds were comfy.

We stayed at Eoghan and Maitreyi’s vacation rental for two nights. Our group was very impressed with the house, the beautiful landscape of the property and some wonderful attention to detail, curated by the hosts, that made our stay especially memorable. Thank you to you both!

Sooke Mountain House was everything we'd hoped for and more. The house itself is well looked after and the view cannot be beat. Eoghan was great to deal with throughout. Would highly recommend to anyone!

This was the best property I've ever rented before! The views and property were beautiful. The hosts were great and very accommodating. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The beds were nicely prepared with bath and face towels beside each mattress. There was a welcome basket which was very sweet and we were able to use the condiments and spices available, which made it very easy for us so we didn't need to buy cooking oil, salt, etc. There was soap available at every sink in the house and hotel style shampoo / conditioner available. There were extra throws hanging around the house which was perfect for when it gets really cold in the house or use as another layer for the bed. The upstairs had a great movie setup with a projector and sound system. Clean up at the end was easy and straight forward (minimal and fair). And the property... Was absolutely gorgeous with a forest as the backyard, there were endless amounts of trails and hiking available to the peak with a nice little surprise at the top. The forest was filled with wonderful surprises and amazing plantation naturally grown there. I can keep going on... Thank you so much Eoghan and Maitreyi. It was truly a magical trip.

Myself and my immediate family spent one week at Sooke Mountain House and from the moment we arrived we felt at home. The property was perfectly clean and they spent so much time to ensure that we felt welcome. Things such as the handpicked wild flowers placed in vases on the tables & the chips and wine which were placed for us on the kitchen table. My family had a wonderful time at this property and the owners were available for any questions and concerns. On our final night at the house we purchased some fresh seafood as a recommendation from the owner and had a wonderful feast. We were very sad to leave, as were my two nieces who were with us. We were worried that the girls would be bored on this trip but there was so much for them to do on the property that they didn't want to leave. We hope to return soon! Thank you to the Eoghan and his family for making this a trip to remember!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Sooke on this property. The views are fantastic and the location is perfect for exploring the local area. The communication provided by Eoghan throughout all stages of the booking process was first class. We would highly recommend this property.

This house is located about an hour away from Victoria in Sooke, B.C. It is a beautiful property and it is very close to the Sooke potholes and the flowline which both make for excellent sightseeing. Beds are comfortable and house is fully equipped. The only downfall was the grocery store close yo the house was quite expensive. If coming from Victoria I would recommend stopping at Superstore in Langford. Overall, an excellent stay.

Loved this place as soon as we arrived. In the middle of nowhere so you do need a car. Thrilled with the humming birds that came to see us as well as various other birds. I couldn’t fault this place

We were six adults and two children(11-14). We all found very interesting and fun activities, birding, beach combing, reading(an extensive library from technical to fiction), touring Butchart Gardens, and even salmon fishing. We were lucky to catch six salmon but let four escape since we only needed two for eating. The kitchen and BBQ was perfect for cooking. The grounds were perfect for walking and birding. The views over Sooke Harbor were fantastic and changed throughout the day. We accidentally met the host and he was very concerned that we were having a pleasant experience. Basically we had a very great time here.
