Located on Above Town, Kittiwake boasts outstanding views over the river from all rooms and its fantastic decked terrace. Kittiwake is finished to a very high standard and is the perfect accommodation for a romantic stay overlooking the water or a small family holiday in the picturesque riverside town of Dartmouth. The town itself is only a short walk away however with the views on offer you may never want to leave the house. A parking permit is supplied for the nearby car park. Accommodation: Enter from the road to the second-floor hallway, on this floor are the first of the two bedrooms, family bathroom and a storage room. The first bedroom has a kingsize bed along with gloss wardrobe, bedroom chair and river views. The family bathroom is fully tiled with a shower, toilet and wash basin. There is also a storage room immediately to the right of the front door idea for luggage, coats and boots. Downstairs to the first floor where you will find the second bedroom and the living room. Both rooms have Juliette balconies making the rooms light and airy as well as really making the most of the unrestricted views. The second bedroom has a standard double bed and a walk-in wardrobe. The living space is tastefully furnished with 2 sofas, TV, DVD and effect fireplace. There are plenty of books and DVDs available to guests. Downstairs again to the ground floor where you will find the beautifully modern open plan kitchen diner, with oak floors, granite worktops and high gloss units. The kitchen is well equipped with double electric oven with gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and radio/ipod dock. The dining table comfortably seats 6 guests. Patio doors that access the decked terrace provide loads of natural light and again views over the river towards Kingswear. Central heating Outside: From the kitchen there is a large decked area with outdoor dining furniture separated by a glass balustrade, the perfect spot to take in the view with a morning coffee. Down to a lower gravel area and smaller decked area. There are stairs down the side of the building that take you back up to the road. Parking: The car park pass provided is valid for Mayors Avenue car park a 5-minute walk away (a bit longer on the way back). It is also valid across the South Hams for use in long stay council run car parks, so as well as Dartmouth you can park for free at Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge and Modbury (details are on the pass). Please note that at significantly busy times of the year such as Regatta and the height of summer the pass does not guarantee a space, on the rare occasion the car park is full the permit is valid for the park and ride at the top of town. Nearby: A short walk down the road will take you to the centre of Dartmouth where you will find a great selection of pubs restaurants and cafes including Mitch Tonks' Seahorse and Rockfish. Cafe Alfresco is locally renowned for breakfasts and the Anchorstone Cafe on Coronation Park is perfect for lunch in the sun. The South West Coast Path can be picked up at the end of Above Town which will take you out to the castle. The closest beach is Blackpool Sands a 5-minute drive away in the village of Stoke fleming. Availability: **Febuary/March Offer - Short breaks 3 night midweek £300 - 3 Night weekend £350** In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to Friday changeovers and a minimum stay of 7 nights. However, please do contact me with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Friday changeover. We have just spent a week at this amazing house. It is beautifully presented with all necessary amenities required for a week. The house was set up for covid very well. Beds very comfortable and rooms spacious and plenty of storage. The outdoor decking is...More
