Inglenook Cottage is a beautiful Cotswold stone cottage, located on a quiet lane in the heart of the famous village of Bourton-on-the-Water. Often referred to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds', due to the lovely river that runs through the town, Bourton has a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as numerous lovely walks right on the doorstep. Bourton is also perfectly located for exploring the many other lovely towns and villages of the Cotswolds region, as well as further afield places, such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Bath. The owner has recently refurbished this traditional Cotswold stone cottage, in a fresh and welcoming contemporary style. Character features, such as the exposed Cotswold stone fireplace with a wood burning stove, are complemented by modern facilities, including wireless internet access, a SMART TV and Blu-ray DVD player, and a well presented kitchen. Inglenook Cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms, with a family bathroom. There is a pretty walled courtyard garden at the back of the cottage, and parking is available a short walk away from the property. Inglenook Cottage is an ideal choice for a family or two couples seeking a relaxing break in the heart of one of the Cotswolds most famous and charming villages. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than four guests at the property. Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by one additional infant. Pets Two small to medium size dogs (no larger than a Labrador or a Retriever, unless agreed with the owner) is accepted, at a cost of £20 per dog per booking. For the comfort of future guests, we ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure. About the neighbourhood
Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably one of the most popular villages of the Cotswolds, especially amongst overseas visitors. Having been nicknamed the 'Venice of the Cotswolds', its scenery is the main draw for travellers. The River Windrush meanders through beautiful English countryside before passing over rapids next to the Old Mill and arriving at Bourton.
Getting around
The Cotswolds is a rural location and whilst there is access to public transport, it is highly recommended that you have a car.
