This delightful Shepherds Hut is located on our small holding at Meadowbeck Holiday Cottages and enjoys wonderful sea and countryside views. Set in a peaceful location within the North Yorkshire Moors, yet within easy reach of Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sandsend, Ravenscar and Scarborough. Beautiful coastal and moorland walks on the doorstep, along with fabulous dark skies for star gazing. The Shepherds Hut provides a comfortable retreat for 2 and is ideally located for exploring the coast and inland villages. The hut is clad in Larch and fully insulated - the interior is countryside chic and provides an inviting double bed to snuggle in and a Pot Belly log burning stove for cozy nights in. Outside: Private toilet and Shower Facility attached to the rear of the Shepherds Hut. There is also a private fenced garden area. Just 10 metres walk from the hut is a guest games room with Pool Table, Bar Football, Darts Board, Flat screen TV, Free WiFi and comfortable seating for relaxing. Within the utility area is a washing machine, ironing board and iron. For anyone wishing to experience staying in a Shepherds Hut with all mod cons - this is a real treat and can be a new adventure, romantic getaway, peaceful retreat or anything you want it to be. FREE Parking on site Dogs - Strictly by prior arrangement with the Owners - Dogs will be considered on request and an additional fee is payable. Guests should be aware that the hut has a log burning stove for heating, in a confined area (should you wish to use it). Please note - IT IS NOT SUITABLE ACCOMMODATION FOR YOUNG CHILDREN and whilst we do not exclude children, we advise a minimum age of 11 and it is the guests decision and responsibility when booking the accommodation. The double bed will have a clean mattress protector but no bedding. Guests are requested to bring along their own bedding & towels. If you are unable to bring along your own bedding, please advise on booking & we can provide for an additional cost - which can be paid cash on arrival. More

The huts are heated by wood burning stoves - the top of the stove can also be used for cooking eg. kettle/ small pan. We therefore do not recommend this hut for young children& suggest a minimum age of 11 years. The double bed will have a clean mattress protector but no bedding. Guests are requested to bring along their own bedding & towels. If you are unable to bring along your own bedding, please advise on booking & we can provide for an extra fee.

Great little 'hut' about 3miles outside Robin Hood's Bay. Inside, there's a comfy bed, small stoves to keep you warm (fire wood provided), couple of chairs, sink, kettle, toaster, hob and small oven - everything you need really. Round back was a shower and toilet....More

About the neighbourhood
Ideally located in the North York Moors with peaceful surroundings, sea & countryside views - yet just off of the A171 main Scarborough to Whitby Road. Explore Coastal Towns & Villages Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes - Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington. Wonderful walks along the coast and over the moors - public footpath from our accommodation to Boggle Hole, Robin Hoods Bay and along the Cleveland Way. Just at the top of our lane are: The Flask Inn Pub serving food (the pub does restrict opening times in Low Season & is closed in Winter. The Fylingdales Service Station for fuel, newspapers, small selection of groceries & take-away hot drinks. Great pubs/restaurants in nearby Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.
Getting around
We are ideally located to visit the coastal towns and villages - Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes - Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington. Being in the stunning North York Moors we have Goathland (Heartbeat Country) and Grosmont nearby. You can travel on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Train at either of these stops also Levisham, Pickering and Whitby. The X93 (Scarborough to Middlesrough) Bus stops at the top of our lane via Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby and Guisborough. From Scarborough Train Station you can easily visit York and Leeds We also have reliable Taxi services outside of public transport hours. There are plenty of wonderful walks along the coast and moors - Welcome to Yorkshire.
