Had an enjoyable stay at the cottage recently. It has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Judy and Paul are friendly and very helpful. Paul is knowledgeable about the area and took the time to help with directions and give some useful information. Love the dogs Tess and Meg. Would highly recommend a stay at this cottage.

Former shepherd's cottage on a working farm. The cottage is compact but has all that is required for a comfortable stay for two people, including a wood burning stove for chilly evenings. The farm has rare breed cattle, sheep and chickens and our hosts Judy and Paul were very welcoming. They also had their own product for sale at reasonable prices. Location is about 10 minutes from the center of Cheddar up a track - yes it is a farm cottage! The cathedral city of Wells is about 25 mins away. Recommended

If you're after a cosy cottage in a peaceful setting, with fantastic walks on your doorstep, this is the place. Paul and Judy (and their beautiful dogs Tess and Meg) could not have made us and our rather excitable labrador more welcome. The views from this cottage are stunning and magical, we could not have asked for more, and will be returning very soon.

My mom and dad stayed at Bradley Cross Farm, Shepherds Cottage for 3 nights along with our 2 dogs, both Staffie crosses. The property is a lovely simple cottage with all the amenities you would need and wonderful friendly hosts Paul, Judy and Tess & Meg the dogs. We were able to enjoy the outdoors looking out onto stunning views where you can watch the sun go down watching bats, buzzards and fireflies along with a bottle or two. (hiccup) We only booked for 3 nights but we wish we had booked for more. We will be returning and highly recommend booking.

We had a truly lovely restful stay in this quaint cottage. A great base for walking the dogs for a week and for working leg muscles walking up all the hills! Very peaceful to wake up to the view that spread out beneath you. Friendly hosts, good information supplied and the beautiful Tess who restricts shoelace tieing by sitting on your foot - the resident dog! The beds are really comfortable to ensure you have a good night's sleep, and there are enough mod cons to make life easy. Despite the kitchen area being tight, it was workable and anyway so wants to spend alot of time in the kitchen when away from home! I would highly recommend a visit, a piece of tranquility that is a rare find nowadays.

Thanks for your review Catherine and Bill. You were Super super guests and it was a pleasure to meet you both and the dogs. Good exercise for our Tess and she was looking for you all to play with after you left. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again back at the farm sometime. Best wishes ..... Judy & Paul

After 5 lovely days at Bradley Cross Farm we were sorry to leave. On arrival we got a great welcome from Paul and Judy and Tess the puppy who was so cute X. The Shepherds cottage was nice and clean, very cosy and peaceful. When we arrived at the cottage and looked around we saw the amazing view that paul and judy live with and a view we enjoyed each evening. We found the cottage an ideal place to stay for walking into cheddar and visiting surrounding areas like Wells, Minehead, and Dunster Castle. This is a great place to stay if you want to relax and get away from it all, we can't wait to make a return visit and enjoy this little rustic retreat and also see how Tess the puppy dog has grown. Thank you Paul & Judy.

Dear Vicky & Bob Thanks for such a glowing review. It was a pleasure to meet you both and we were glad that you managed to use us as a base so effectively on your daily travels on your motorbike throughout the South West. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back to the farm and Tess will be looking forward to seeing you both again. Maybe with your 2 dogs next time ? Although that will be tricky on the motorbike ! Enjoy your Autumn, stay safe All the best Judy & Paul

My husband and I went for a few days break to a place which gave us many 'firsts'. We had never stayed in a Shepherd's Croft, on a farm and in the heart of some stunning countryside views. Paul and Judy were friendly, helpful and shared their wealth of experience of the area and short cuts to take to allow to make maximum use of our time in Cheddar. The accommodation with clean and with the log burner fire, very warm. The facilities allowed us to cook or bring in according to our needs of the day. We were able to share in the newness of spring as many lambs were born during the week we stayed; which all added to a delightful stay. We were able to watch beautiful sunsets from the cottage views. Take long walks around the Gorge and explore the local caves. We took trips to surrounding towns and cities of Bath, Wells and Glastonbury to name a few. The local shops were easily assessible to gain provisions, when required. The local public houses and restaurants were also easy to get to. It was a wonderful time and one that we would repeat.
