This lovely 2-bedroom bourgeois-style apartment, located in a typically old Nicoise building, is in a great location with fantastic views over the Port and Chateau of Nice. From here you can enjoy the many cafes, shops and restaurants of the port and old town, or just sit and watch the world go by from your balcony!
Approximately 88 sq metres in size, and totally refurbished in 2012, it's on the second floor (with lift) and comprises of large entrance hall, spacious living/dining room, an independent kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a small balcony. Air conditioning units in the bedrooms keep it cool in the hotter summer months.
It's very well-placed to discover the whole of Nice, plus the beautiful neighbouring towns of Villefranche & Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Monaco.

First Class, comfortable, clean and secure accommodation
Fantastic accommodation in the heart of Nice Port. Large and well maintained, clean and tidy throughout. Home from home appliances, plenty of useful information provided before travel and meet & greet with Sandra was excellent. Customer service was first class. Very secure, quiet but plenty of activity outside to sit on the balcony and enjoy a drink. Wonderful views and a very relaxing atmosphere. Supermarkets/Bars & restaurants all available and the port area had a nice local feel, we were really pleased that we chose this place as Nice itself would have been too busy for us, although it was only a short walk away and we spent hours walking and enjoying all it had to offer. The beaches/historical sights and so many places to visit on pubic transport which was really easy and very cheap. We would not hesitate to recommend Azalee to anyone and would return if we visit that part of France again. I think we would find it very hard to find somewhere as lovely.

Fabulous apartment - would highly recommend
I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. It has the perfect location - directly opposite Nice port. We booked this after seeing the photos and reading other reviews. We were not disappointed. The apartment is exactly as in the photos, very clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The views from the balcony are amazing. The apartment has everything you could need for a holiday in the French Riviera - including beach mats!
This apartment is above a restaurant, which we were a little concerned about with young children, but it only opens in the evening and is very, very quiet. It closes around 10.30.
There is a small lift which was great when we arrived with the cases - but the rest of the time we took the stairs.
Paul, at JDV holidays, was extremely helpful, giving us all the information we requested promptly. Although we took a taxi from the airport (about 20 mins), Paul gave us easy to follow directions and Sandra's number to call as we left the airport, so she could meet us at the apartment. Sandra was very kind and stayed a short while to show us how to work the washing machine, air conditioning etc. and gave us advice on where the little boat was to take you across the port (free) and tourist information.
The apartment is a short (20 minute) walk from "Promenade des Anglais" and a 2 minute walk from the 100 Monaco bus stop which takes you to Monaco for 1.5 euro!
We all absolutely loved our stay at apartment Azalee and wish we had stayed longer. We definitely want to return.
Thanks again to Paul and Sandra.

Ten out of ten!
Beautifully positioned stylish apartment with balcony overlooking the marina at Nice Port.
Spacious, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Nicely furnished with all the appliances and kitchen equipment you could want. Perfectly located for Nice and other attractions like Monaco along the coast (just catch one of the local buses, a stone's throw away). Plenty of shops and reasonably priced cafes and restaurants nearby.

Comfortable, light, airy well equipped property
The apartment is as shown on the photos with really great views over the harbour - perfect to while an hour away on the juliet balcony with a glass of wine watching the comings and goings of superyachts, fishermen etc. It is on the 2nd floor but there is a very small lift so you don't need to carry bags upstairs. At night it was quiet being away from the centre of the old town especially as there is quality double glazing for light sleepers.
If self catering there are 2 supermarkets close by with everything you need and the well equipped kitchen has a fridge freezer - handy for wine & icecream!! Large variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Conveniently located - 5 mins to Place Garibaldi for the tram which takes you to Avenue Jean Medecin for the new town and the train station from where you can go to Cannes, Antibes or Eze. You can visit Cannes & Antibes on the same train ticket. At the end of street for 100 bus to Monaco and Menton or the bus to Villefranche. Turn left there is a little free boat that ferries you across the harbour during the day and then you can go along the promenade to the lift to go up the Chateau hill for wonderful views or continue to the flower market and the old town and its myriad of little streets and shops. The roads the other side of the port contain the antique shops.
Paul from JDV Holidays and Sandra who met us at the property were both very helpful and professional and I would have no hesitation in recommending both the Company and their property

Spacious, gracious, convenient
The apartment is very spacious and in an excellent position for everything. Buses stop nearby to centre of Nice, villages along the coast and Monaco and Monte Carlo.
Opening the doors on to the balcony and being able to watch the boats was great.
A bbonus was the excellent restaurant Le San Juan at 7 Bd Franck Pilatte just up the steps from teh port and round to the other side the bay. They were particularly caring in catering for special dietary needs. Can highly recommend them. Food was delicious!

Perfect Location, Perfect Holiday
We stayed just under a week at this well equipped apartment. It was very comfortable and clean for our party of 4 adults. The location really couldn't be any better! A beautiful view over the marina and walking distance to the old town and many restaurants. Although if you don't feel like going far, the restaurant 'Le Marlin' below the apartment was great.
This is also a perfect location for buses and trains to visit towns along the riviera. We didn't hire a car and didn't miss it. The airport bus dropped us 5 mins walk from the apartment and worked well to and from the airport. 6 euros each for each journey. A well stocked supermarket is a few mins walk from the apartment.
Sandra met us when we arrived, was friendly and gave us all the info we needed.
We went by bus to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu Sur Mer and Monaco. 1.50 euros each per journey. Don't forget to validate your ticket on board. Caught the train to Cannes. All recommended!
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment or booking through Joie De Vivre who made the whole process very easy.
A minor improvement would be to replace the towels provided which were a little worn. We look forward to returning to Nice and staying here again in future.

The perfect holiday in Nice, thanks to Paul, Joie de Vivre
It was a super nice apartment, where we were greeted by a smiling Sandra, who told us everything we needed to know.
Everything lived up to our expectations, and the Apartment had all the modern conveniences, and everything worked perfectly.
All in all a wonderful experience and we can highly recommend Joie de Vivre that complied with all agreements and always gave quick response to our emails.
Many thanks to our contact Paul.

First class and very convenient for all amenities, fabulous view
Arrived on a late flight for the Grand Prix weekend and had to collect the key which was conveniently left for us at the airport. A short taxi ride along the sea front and into the port area the apartment is easily located.
Sandra came the next morning to ensure we were happy with everything and also gave us tips regarding public transport, local supermarkets and a few restaurants. Accommodation was well appointed with everything we needed for our one week stay. The view of the port from the balcony was really special.
Would recommend and definitely use again

Local shops and boulangeries can be found just 200 metres away, a supermarket 500 metres and restaurants & cafes directly downstairs on the quay front! You also have a great selection of restaurants to choose from in the nearby old town of Nice. There is a great choice of shopping in the department stores, the designer shops and gift shops of Nice.
Local markets are held in Nice and Villefranche. The most well-known is held 900 metres away in the Cours Saleya in Nice, adjacent to the old town, and offers an array of olives, flowers and fresh produce. There is also an antiques market held here on a Monday.
Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there is sailing, diving, fishing, water sports, jogging and rollerblading along the Promenade des Anglais, and of course the beaches. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
Beaches can be found just 500 metres away at the ;Plage de la Reserve and right along the Promenade des Anglais 900 metres away. From here you can enjoy the sunshine glittering on the azure blue waters of the Med, watch the many boats crossing the Baie des Anges and see the planes and helicopters coming in and out of the airport.
The ski stations of Greoliere, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are between 1 and 2 hours drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
Getting around is very easy from here. You have the bus and train services, which have a great network along the coast and further inland - the nearest bus stop is 300 metres away and Nice Riquier train station is also within walking distance. A car is really not necessary here.
