Stayed for 10 days end of June 2022. Nice apartment small but perfectly formed! Nice old traditional villa 5 minute stroll to little lido beach area on the lake. Great pool area which we had largely to ourselves as the area is apparently an Italian second home / holiday resort rather than tourism which is what we wanted. Travel tips - you need to hire a car to get from the airports as there are not coach / taxi services available, choose very carefully and read the reviews!! The nearest supermarket is 3k with no footpath so equally you need a car. The only negative is that the road around the lake attracts motorcycles and can be very noisy especially at weekends. Otherwise great views and recommended.

Apartment Lido is a small and perfectly formed apartment with wonderful views across the lake. Its situated in an old characterful traditional Italian Villa surrounded by its private grounds, parking and a nice swimming pool which we had to ourselves most of the time! Andrea is very helpful and welcoming. The apartment has everything you need including bedding, towels and the all important hairdryer! It represents good VFM especially in this area when you compare local hotel prices. It's a non tourist area, we didn't see another Brit, properties seemingly 2nd homes for Italians. Worthy of note, the apartment is on top floor with about 8 short flights of steps. The upstairs bedroom is via a very small staircase so if you are of large stature consider. The only negative comment is that the road passed the Villa attracts lots of very noisy motorcycles as it is an attractive winding road which circles the lake. It can become very intrusive at the weekend. TRAVEL TIPS; You need a car. There are no coach / tourist services to get you from the airports and the nearest supermarket is 3K away and there are no footpaths around the lake apart from the leisure trail. DO NOT USE SURPRICE CAR RENTAL. SEE SEPARATE REVIEWS. You can walk to the Lido by the lake, its 6 euro a day or if you walk passed the lido through the little square there is a jetty where you can swim from for free!

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 giorni in questo spendido appartamento sul lido di Gozzano con una vista incantevole sul lago d'Orta e la sua isola da sud. I proprietari sono 2 fratelli gentilissimi, che ti fanno sentire subito a tuo agio e ti offrono tutte le informazioni di cui puoi aver bisogno sia sull'appartamento sia sui dintorni da visitare. L'appartamento è arredato bene, con arredi di pregio, molto funzionale. Si trova al terzo piano di una villa storica con parco (e parcheggio) e ha un'ampia cucina soggiorno, una camera matrimoniale, un bagno con doccia e sopra una scaletta a chiocciola un'altra cameretta, perfetta per 2 bambini (i miei si sono innamorati di quella stanza ...). La posizione è comoda dall'autostrada e per visitare tutti i paesini attorno al lago (da cui la villa si riconosce) e i dintorni (es. Val di Sesia, Lago Maggiore). Lo consigliamoo a chiunque (a parte chi avesse problemi a fare le scale perchè non c'è l'ascensore, probabilmente per vincoli storici e paesaggistici) e cii ripromettiamo di tornarci sicuramente.

Beautiful and tastefully furnished apartment, situated in a beautiful villa. The view from the apartment on the lake is breathtaking! Andrea and his parents are very friendly, hospitable and cordial. The pool at the apartment is clean and nice and quiet (when we were there). Our kids loved the lake for swimming (there is a freely accessible area within walking distance of the apartment just next to the Lido di Gozzano). Be sure to visit the Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso with its beautiful view over the lake.

Das Apartment in der beeindruckenden Villa ist hervorragend ausgestattet, hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht, sogar an Badekappen für den Pool. Der Pool war für die Kinder ein Highlight. Uns Erwachsenen hat es vor allem die Aussicht über den See angetan und die kleine kostenfreie Badestelle, die nach einem kurzen Fußweg durch den Garten zu erreichen ist. Wir wurden von Andrea und seiner Mutter sehr herzlich empfangen und haben uns hier gleich wohlgefühlt.

When we arrived we had a very warm welcome of the owners. The apartment has very good facilities and a beautiful view of the Orta lake and the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed the swimmingpool where we most of time were on ourselves. The lake itself is just a few minutes walk. There was much room to park our car safely behind the walls of the estate. The location is central of the lake and a good start to see a lot of things in the surroundings. Finally the communication with one of the owners who speaks very good English is suberb.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in the beautiful Lido apartment. The apartment is small but beautifully set out, with absolutely everything you could need - including a lovely bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of bubbly to welcome us! The view from the window is beautiful, looking over Lake Orta to the mountains is the highlight of the accommodation. The host Andrea, his brother and their mum made us very welcome and were on hand to answer any queries and give advice when needed. We would absolutely return to this apartment, it was a super base to travel around the local area and beyond to Lake Maggiore and further.

Eine wunderschön gelegene Wohnung mit fantastischem Blick auf den See. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und erhielten eine ausführliche Einweisung für das extrem gut ausgestattete Appartement. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

This apartment is on the top floor of an historic building overlooking the most perfect view of Lake Orta. The owners have thought of simply everything and we could not find fault with anything during our stay. Perfection!
