The apartment named 'The coat of arms' is on the ground floor of the castle and it is given acces through the magnificent monumental hall. It was here that earl Di Lupo Parra attended to the estate management. As it is witnessed by an inventory dated 1822, the most important documents about the property were kept here; being admitted to these rooms was considered a privilege. This apartment is named after the fresco featured in a room, which depict the Di Lupo Parra coat-of-arms honoured by angels as a symbol of the power and wealth of the family. The apartment features a graceful mix of antique and modern furnishings. It is composed of a large living room, a bedroom with either a double bed or two single beds according to the guests' choice, a kitchen, a bathroom and a laundry where a washing machine is provided. The sofa in the living room provides an additional double bed. A beautiful hall with astonishing frescoes connects the apartment to the west garden, where you can relax and have meals in the shadow of marvellous old-age trees. For suntan lovers, the east garden is equipped with deck chairs and sun beds. * On request, a car service is available for guests to and from Pisa airport or train station on arrival / departure, free of charge. * On request, a taxi service is available for one-day or half-day trips all around Tuscany; the service must be booked two days in advance. *Lists of events, restaurants, maps, itineraries, train and bus time table, gastronomic suggestions and shopping tips are at your disposal in the apartment. * English, Italian and French books are available for borrowing. * The owners live in the caste and are on hand to answer any questions. * Early booking is necessary for kitchen classes and wine tasting.More
