Sleeps 12/14 in 6 bedrooms. (Maximum of 12 adults.) It maybe possible outside school holidays to rent just the flat (sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms) or the house sleeps (8/10 in 4 bedrooms). Just message me. This lovely family house with its useful self-contained garden flat - ideal for grandparents joining family holidays - is a real find thanks to its quiet residential setting just a short five minute stroll downhill (longer on the way up!) to the centre of picturesque Salcombe. The famously pretty yachting town's pretty cobbled streets, shops and bistros are on the doorstep, whilst the lovely sandy beach is just 20 minutes away on foot. Along with it convienent location, amongst its best assets are the views over the town, countryside and scenic Batson Creek from the bedrooms and large decked terrace (very safely enclosed) - best enjoyed whilst cooking up a storm on the BBQ or simply relaxing with glass of wine at the end of a long sunny day! Crossways is clearly owned by a family with lots of experinece with young children. There's allocated parking outside and a long list of equipment including safety gear like stairgates and plug covers and useful items like bath mats, puree makers, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer (full list below). All of which assist greatly in insuring a relaxing and enjoyable holiday with babies/toddlers in tow. The house itself has been recently refurbished and has a lovely, bright, open-plan downstairs area, awash with light from its many picture windows and a well-equipped, stylish contemporary kitchen diner with archway through to the spacious lounge equipped with TV and DVD player. Upstairs, the first floor has a double bedroom, a twin/double (zip'n'link) and a twin, plus a family bathroom (with bath and shower), whilst the attic room on the floor above has a double with Vi Spring mattress (and a chair bed) and ensuite shower room. The Garden flat proves a very handy extra space for those travelling with larger parties or split family groups. It has been thoughtfully furnished in keeping with the main house and sleeps 5 in one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with a chair bed. Outside, guests taking the whole house have the choice between enjoying the stunning views from the roof terrace (very sfaely enclosed) which is accessed via sliding doors from the main kitchen, or enjoying the pretty lawned garden, both boast outdoor furniture and barbeques . Either has enough space for a small padding pool or scooting about on a small ride-on. One well behaved dog welcome for £25. We have tried to think of everything you could wish to be available: Changing mat Toilet training seat Potty High chairs. There are three in the house and one in the flat. Travel Cots. There are three in the house and one in the flat. Kiddy guard stair gates at the top of both flights of stairs Bath mat and baby bath Electric socket covers Children plates, bowls, cups and cutlery Plenty of toys, books, games and children's dvds Puree Maker After the birth of their first son - owners Jane Brown and Tim Wells quickly learnt that travelling with a little one can be hard work with having to remember the travel cot, the high chair, the toys, the bath things etc. They looked to create a family friendly holiday home in their favourite seaside town of Salcombe. They fell in love with the beauty and pace of life in Salcombe. If you are looking for a family friendly holiday let then Crossways is the place for you. Tim and Jane now have 4 children and have owned holiday lets since 2001, and so have plenty of experience in holidaying with young children and looking after guests!More

We have just returned from our weeks stay at Crossways and have all had a fabulous time there! The house and garden flat were large enough to accommodate 10 x Adults, 3 x children and 2 x dogs. Our bedrooms were comfortable and everthing we needed was provided! The lovely large kitchen with open plan dining was perfect for the whole family to converse, cook and enjoy the marvellous views. We were lucky with the weather and were able to sit on the balcony in the glorious sunshine. Salcombe is stunning with many beautiful places to visit, although we didn't need to use our vehicles as everything was accessible and nearby. A warning that Salcombe is very hilly but didn't provide any problems for us. Crossways provided enough parking space for our 5 x cars, too, which was so very handy. I would totally recommend staying here and wouldn't hesitate visiting again. Thank you Jane :-)

Very welcoming accommodation for large families or groups of friends, with lovely generous outside spaces affording estuary views, great for BBQs and entertaining. Inside, the rooms are comfortable, well proportioned and clean. Visited Crossways on numerous occasions and never disappointed. The owners always seem to ensure good weather too! Ample off road parking, a premium in Salcombe. Looking forward to our next trip Gavin and Caroline .

I stayed at Crossways throughout November, and it truly is a wonderful house. On arrival it was lovely and tidy, and Jane went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, the location is ideal- moments walk away from the centre of Salcombe and lovely views from the garden too! I would highly recommend staying here for either a short or long stay!

We were very fortunate to have chosen such a great holiday home for our stay in Salcombe. Very well equipped and extremely comfortable, we couldn`t have asked for more. The house is spacious and was suitable for our whole family. We spent many an evening sitting out on the balcony, admiring the beautiful views and making full use of the barbecue. The size of the dining area, which was part of the kitchen, was particularly impressive and actually made `eating in` a very appealing option. We had a great holiday thanks to the comfort of the house (the beds were fab) and would love to return.

We had a wonderful holiday with our two small children and extended family in August. Crossways is really comfortable and everything you could possibly need is provided. There is a fabulous balcony with beautiful views. Very well appointed kitchen and great entertaining area. Lots of parking and a short walk to Salcombe centre. What more could you need?

Who knew you could find real tranquility when sharing a house amongst two families comprising 5 adults, 7 children (aged 2-16) and a large black labrador... We visited this house last Christmas but the fun we had and the peace we found wasn't just a one-off fluke, we enjoyed our time here all over again and knowing what to expect from the accomodation made our stay all the more special - particularly when you're looking to fulfil the needs of so many people over such an expectation-laden time of year. I would highly recommend this house to anybody holidaying with a large number of people. The attention to detail by the owners to make the accomodation a real "home from home" relieves so much of the stress often accompanied by holidaying en masse: the kitchen has literally everything you need to cook for a large party (as one would expect!) and room a-plenty to relax and enjoy indoor pursuits as well as being minutes from the well-heeled shops of Salcombe or the picturesque coves and walks we enjoyed - even with the youngest of the party, everything was so easily accessible! Really, truly fabulous! We hope to return time and time again and make this our very own home from home!
