We really loved it here, very comfortable, lots of space, absolutely spotless and a beautiful garden to enjoy all to yourself. To top that, the host was great. Can’t fault it!

About the neighbourhood
Brightlingsea is a small town, some 8k population, and has just one road connecting it, so its a cul de sac. Within an easy walk, 10 minutes for a slow walker, everything is in reach. Once your here you don't need a car. There are shops and supermarkets nearby, the town centre just 200 yards away. your'll also find many pubs, three sailing clubs, a beautiful Lido, Restaurants, the beach cafe, a new museum, 330 beach huts, a long promenade, a tidal paddling pool, the beach, Brightlingsea Creek and saltings, the estuary, the River Colne with its fantastic walks along the sea wall. There is generally live music most weekends. Also there is a foot ferry which runs to Point Clear and West Mersey, a must if your a seafood lover.
Getting around
Once here, you really don't need a car, so leave it on the drive. There is a regular bus service to Colchester and Clacton, and a rail station at Alresford 4 miles away.
